Hello everybody.

I am new to Proton Inspira and also new to LYN. tongue.gif

I got my car since last month end, and it's a 2.0E. I think the reception of the radio is weak. Anyone come across the same problem?

Thanks! icon_rolleyes.gif

Your fuel consumption, 8.9L/100km, it impresses me a lot. How do you manage it? blink.gif
I got 14.4L/100km, but mine still new, the mileage is still under 1000km.
Thank you.

14.4 you floor the pedal whole time ar?

mine is 13.5 cents per km, which works out to be roughly 7.1L/100km if my calculations are correct
*
Impressive FC you have! thumbup.gif Where are you from and what is your daily traffic condition?
I live in Penang island, and I have bad traffic every morning recently. Maybe this causes the 14.4

14.4 u look at the meter or self calculate?

Juz a reminder, I already says 109700 times.. The meter show AVERAGE FC, base on ur speed and time. Means its useless.
*
I do not depend on the indicator, but I calculated it myself. It is possible that the FC will be improved after the 1st or 2nd service?

I just want to know how much I spend a year for fuel that's why I track it
So save? Haih breed kah?
*
Not best? What's the number you got over there?
I consider my bad FC caused by the bad traffic condition. I met traffic jam almost every morning recently. sweat.gif

The sales adviser told me it's ready, but I haven't go to collect it. You bought your lala during Autofest too? How's the ride? Do you enjoy it? My fuel consumption is a bit of lose control. sweat.gif

I think you misunderstood, I mean my service voucher is ready to be collected and I have not collect it from my SA yet.
I collected my car since last Thursday. So far so good, but the fuel consumption, it's a bit too hungry. hmm.gif Hopefully it will be improved after the 1st service.
Yours, it's 2.0E as well I suppose. Leaking problem solved? How long have you been waited for the repair?

Address to all sifu. About the weak radio reception issue. I just recall one year ago, I read through Hyundai Elantra fans forum, they mentioned that their cars is having two receivers (fm receiver & am receiver), underneath the antenna, and they did some wiring job to by pass the am receiver (something like connecting both wires to fm receiver), the result, the reception became stronger.
Just wondering, if this can be applied on our lala? Sorry cause I can't find that particular discussion back at this point.

*
Do you mean COLOR CODE?

It's Elegant Brown. Most probably it's A0187. Better double check, there is a seal somewhere under the hood, it's a piece of metal plate, with the color code on it and the brand of the paint. smile.gif

QUOTE(howler @ Aug 21 2013, 07:59 PM)
I just got back my lala from Juru Proton edar SC and I want to share my experience  rclxm9.gif

Made appointment last week for today .... so I went there 1/2 awake at 8am in the morning to check-in my car

Service advisor was very helpful . Explained all the changes . Then she asked me whether I want to add "compressor oil" into the air-cond compressor ....

So I asked her why ? She said that the oil level in the air cond compressor will drop since the car is new. By adding a little bit of "compressor oil" , it will top up the level by a little bit. Then, this will also extend the working life of the air-cond as well.

since i was 1/2 awake ... i said OK

In the quotation that she showed me , I saw Syntium 800 10W-40 (4L) and syntium 800 15W-50(1L) . So I asked her why .... she said that 1L 10W-40 no more stock ... so replace with 1L 15W-50 .... she says that it can  be used ... as long as it belongs to the same Syntium 800 family hmm.gif

Later , I went to collect the car and pay the bill.

I asked her about the "compressor oil" ... she said "add a bit ... around 1 inch of a tube only " ... but bill was RM48 !  doh.gif

What !!! Rm48 for one inch of oil ?????????????????????????

So I asked more technical questions .... she said that Juru center has an air-cond specialist who recommend this product. Other places don't have this service

So I asked her for the bottle/packaging/datasheet etc ... she told me to go behind and ask the specialist ... Then the specialist showed me a tube which says E-Boost DYE for air-cond ==> Makes leaks easy to detect !

in other words , i paid rm 48 for one inch of DYE !!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to complaint that a dye does not improve the performance of the compressor and does not extend its lifespan as well . I made alot of noise as I did not agree in paying such amount of a colored dye biggrin.gif

Finally after 15min of checking , calling ppl up , emails etc , I had the marketing brochure

http://www.uview.com/index.cfm?PAGEPATH=Pr...&PRODUCTID=5080

http://www.amazon.com/Uview-499109-eBoost-...e/dp/B003B5HVIK

It was this product .......

So I would like to ask all the sifus here whether they have ever heard of this product before ??????

Anyway once i saw the marketing brochure , I paid the total bill  whistling.gif
Then I noticed that they put 10W-40 (1 L) in the bill instead of 15W-50 which she told me in the morning.
Apparently there was new stock hmm.gif

In between , I checked online and they say that if we mix Engine oils of different viscosity , we will get something in between the two different viscosity. Not sure if it was good or bad
Anyway I must puji Proton a bit after all the hentam above  thumbup.gif

1) I saw them cover the driver seat and steering wheel during the servicing with a kind of plastic cover . Good initiative as to avoid the technicians in coveralls accidently putting some grease on the car seats
2) The service advisor called me up 1 hour later to tell me that she has an expert engineer in aircond/E-Boost usage. So I told her to send me the datasheets or technical files to me email address for me to go through them  icon_rolleyes.gif
ahahah
*
Thanks for sharing. notworthy.gif I'm going to have my service a week after the next week. So what's your total bill?
