QUOTE(accetera @ Jul 19 2013, 11:49 AM) It seems they have thousands of people on their register list for this project. Just wondering...for Mutiara Damansara made sense becoz surrounded by high income earnersRM1,000+++ psf... higher floors more expensive psf as you get better KL skyline view and the height of condo is much taller than Sunway Velocity. And lastly... it is a Mutiara Rini developer where its Mutiara Damansara is very highly regarded. If you realised, several big brands are now present in Mutiara Damansara. Ikea, Nestle, Procter & Gamble, AstraZeneca, Porsche, Lexus and the upcoming McLaren Malaysia. This area has big potential but may take longer time to go upmarket... |

QUOTE(accetera @ Jul 19 2013, 02:44 PM) Not too long ago Mutiara Damansara was a jungle... next to Orang Asli hideout. Land was part of Bukit Lanjan reserve and come under Mukim Sg Buloh if not mistaken. Boss, but even at that time Mutiara Damansara (MD) was so near to BU, Taman Tun etc, many high income families nearby to fast track the success of MD...Fast forward today is a different story. But look around Cochrane...Jusco Maluri is not a good gauge of the current local neighbourhood as the shoppers come from many places. The ex-Carrefour there can be a good representation n visited few times...compared to the patrons of Tesco at MD, they are from two different world... So geographically Cochrane lack of the strong immediate surrounding income support... Am sure Ikea later will find that their shopper profile in Cochrane to be very different from those at MD... |

QUOTE(restful increase @ Jan 2 2014, 11:37 PM) Can't think of benefits of staying within close distance of ikea, unlike a mall or hypermarket, u can visit daily for your needs, entertainment and convenienceBut one does not need to visit ikea everyday, or go there to be entertained or find daily necessity there conveniently Also the crowd at ikea MD on weekend is suffocating, not enough oxygen if u are caught in that mad crowd |

QUOTE(HELLO HELLO @ Jan 4 2014, 10:14 PM) No lar. Other than IKEA got many others things....ikano mah. plenty retail shop macam cold storage and etc. Tak ngm just go to velocity. And trx just next stop only. Further abit got bukit bintang pavilion. Want play golf also near. Got prestigious Selangor golf club. Very ok ler. And this part of Cochrane and maluri soon will become part of kl city. That's why MRT go underground. Agree with u but I was more responding to earlier comment on ikea that "nothing beats ikea" |

QUOTE(leongyitseng @ Jan 4 2014, 10:26 PM) Can we trust Boustead since they are political related? How is the maintenance with their previous township? I don't wanna risk my mil into this because of lacking building maintenance? Their mutiara damansara township is really not bad and very successful lah.... |

Haha...
Some business need to sell noodles to a crowd of 100 people a day to start making profit A Rolex authorized dealer maybe only need to sell 10 watches a month to make profit But ikea business model best...capture all level of price point from all levels of society from Rm5 per item to per order of RM 10k. Sure that they also throw in loss leader... No doubt many patrons of ikea are known to go there 6c6c to "copy idea"... |
