That's how much Nvidia have been overcharging their customers lol. But for those who bought it seems to be happy , so , it's fine I guess. We should be thanking AMD for the competitiveness for Nvidia to drop their prices down so much lol.
Anyway , when do you think the retailers here to apply to the changes soon? Quite tempted honestly lol.

Finally those who have fasted for 5 months (780 comes out May) can get their hands on cards that can give them a chance to play at playable framerates at higher than 1080p resolutions, like 1440p/1600p. Those who chose to maintain gaming at 1080p would've made their choice staying at GTX680 and continued gaming a long time ago already.

Can't put a pricetag on getting an early taste of how higher res gaming looks like, unless that's not your cup of tea or out of your budget, in which case, getting the 780 wasn't in your consideration anyway for purchase (other than making a case of tongue-wagging at those who chose to take a dip earlier), which makes the whole point moot. Which in turn would've made you happy gaming at 1080p, in which case, the wiser decision would've been getting the long available GTX680 a long time ago.
Coz a jump in gaming at higher res, always come in tandem with the need to purchase display hardware of appropriate upgrade (1080p panel to 1440p/1600p or another 1/2 1080p panels for surround). Which means $$$, which again, negates all intention of penny-pinchers to move up gaming at higher res anyway.
