Does anyone facing problem with their GTX460 with the latest driver?

I recently did a reformat on my comp and i downloaded the latest driver 327.23, first few days was fine, BSOD happened after that few days, the error relates NVIDIA's file into the BSOD report, and the BSOD error code is 116.

Closing my comp for a while and turn it on back fix the problem a little, but once i game a little, NVIDIA's driver started to stop responding and back to normal, but once i go gaming a little more, it started crashing.

I did a little research online on that problem but to my surprise people are saying the latest driver has some problem with GTX460, some people got it fixed by reformatting the comp again, some fixed by reinstalling the driver, or reverting back to the older stable driver.

But anyway, i already sent my graphic card for RMA since they told me its graphic card's faulty, i did not mention what i found on the internet to them luls, lets see what's the responses i will get from MSI. tongue.gif

not sure. mayb the post at the official forum will give you better insight. those i saw posted have "acceptable" (as in 60fps) have 3960x/4770k and 780/titan.
atm, its a bug as CPU load is 100% (for most quad core/low end 6 core) and GPU is not utilize well as it should be.
you may test it once OB is out smile.gif

My GTX460 produce artifacts and cause computer lock up. sweat.gif
Happen last month and warranty already ends. Search Google and found this article.

I think the root cause is 320.18 WQHL driver. Even though already complete uninstall driver in safe mode but damaged had been done. doh.gif

I think you all should RMA anyhow, even if expired. Let them know its driver damage.
That post also mentioned a new driver, indicating a fix to the said problem.
Red camp Green camp, it's no good when something like this happens to users.

What I got from google and game debate it show that the GTX 650 Ti boost edition is better than GT 750M Sli...

But why the GTX 650 Ti boost edition is the medium graphic card and mobile chip GT 750M Sli is perform well than the GTX650 Ti Boost Edition

Correct me if I'm wrong just newbie here

well, youre comparing a full sized desktop card against a mobile graphic card

theyre two different tiers

its like comparing apples to oranges

mobile chipset, due to heat and size issues, are not meant to be compared against desktop cards

Not to mention "Nvidia Kernel had stop working and successfully recovered" issue. Been haunted me since last year (early 2012 IINM). Until now still not solving.

Anyway, lesson learned. When new driver come up, whether beta or official, should read reviews from other user first. Not rushing update it. icon_idea.gif

Not worth it. For that money, I would rather get Sapphire HD 7770 at RM349, which is cheaper and significantly faster than GT 640.
