have you gone through the calibration process? check page 7 and 8 of this doc http://dl.razerzone.com/master-guides/Krak...en71OMG-ENG.pdf
also have you configured the speakers in windows to 7.1 surround? just right click on it in playback devices>configure speakers then choose 7.1 if available
*
1)When selected, I can't seem to configure the Kraken 7.1 (K7.1) . Can't click on the button.
2)And under Devices and printer, the K7.1 is listed under 'unspecified' .
3)apparently when I try to configure it again, i can't hear the helicopter sound/audio playback from the Razer Synapse 2.0. WEIRD.

The another reason behind this would be a counterfeit product. Where did you buy your Kraken from?

C.K Multimedia system @ Subang Avenue there

ps : this shop is kinda famous with the owner where people call her "aunty". So i guess it is not the shop's problem.........

Update!

Previously I was having problems with the Kraken 7.1 (check page 41 of this thread, thanks!)

apparently I kinda fixed it myself.

1) I uninstalled Razer Sypnase 2.0
2) Uninstalled Razer Kraken 71 from Device Manager
3) Remove all Razer Surround/Razer Kraken 7.1 keys/data from Registry
4) reboot then re-install Razer Sypnase 2.0 then reboot after installing
5) plug in Kraken 7.1 and let Sypnase do it's job and Windows to install driver software
6) Tadaa! Zero issues and now I can experience the Virtual 7.1 fully! (Tested with COD: Ghost and CS: GO and Team Fortress 2)

NOTE : Registry edit must not be done unless you are 100% sure of what you're doing OR when you are rich enough to buy a new pc/laptop. These steps provided are fix for my own issue (problem with Skype and 7.1 calibration) . If you want to follow these steps, please take note that I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE if you encounter a problem or messed your PC up. Altho it works for me, I am not 100% sure that it will work for you.

ALWAYS MAKE A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT BEFORE TOUCHING THE REGISTRY.

Hope I help some people out there! Just want to share this info smile.gif Thanks!

I still think that Razer should provide headset casing (Like the Megalodon) for every high-end headset we buy.. Kraken 7.1.. etc.. or at least sell it as part of it's 'gaming accessories' chain

Hi guys, wanna ask, other than razer abys mirror edition,
is there any razer gaming mice that is NOT rubberized surface?
I have a razer diamondback 3G, it's rubberized and now turned into "razer shinyback" due to my sweaty palm.. the rubber jus peel off after 1 or 2 years.
AFAIK, mamba and deathadder are rubberized, is razer ouroboros rubberized too? thanks

DA Black edition is your answer. I have it for almost two years and it's still perfect. First few weeks will be tough because the surface of the mouse is VERY slippery so you might slip a lot.

If you really hate glossy surface, get this thing called "Plastidip" at ACE hardware. Google/youtube it (they even use this to spray cars)

It gives you a PEEL ABLE rubberized surface.

yup, the kraken pro leather ear cushions were killing my ears after like 10 minutes of wearing it.  ohmy.gif

finally got the cloth replacements from razerzone with the help of my friend, it was about RM66+ with fedex shipping, which was the "normal" option on the site, it just doesn't say its fedex 0_o (still don't understand why maybank's mastercard doesn't work)

anyway, my ears don't feel agitated that much anymore after switching to cloth,  but its still darn tight.

I read a couple of cases people put cushioning under the ear cups, 1 dude put in thin foam, the other dude with paper towel LOL.
It works for them, seems that the inside of the ear cup is touching the ears thus the discomfort.. but i didn't feel that way, well its worth a try. I notice this round hollowed rings of foam that came with the cloth replacement cushions, wonder if I should put that in.

I can use my Orca's cushion on my Kraken 7.1 LOL

the most common button used typically, the left button.

i owned 4 razer mice, (2 deathadders [1 original version and another 2013 edition], 1 mamba and 1 imperator). all have the same issue.

nah, not gonna go for another razer mouse.

Your luck is bad. I have my Lachesis for 6 years and its still working perfectly fine except the rubberized surface is................. gone.

Got my DA black edition for 4 years and it's still good. No issues nothing...

My DA 2013 middle button got double click problem

Friend of mine had the same issue (this is quite famous).

open it up, then put some thin layer (he used cellophane tape) at the place where your wheel clicks on the button and yeah. it takes time and patience but this will definitely fix it.

A better option : warranty
