Hello,

I realised that, like Singapore, Playmobil is a very niche market in Malaysia as well...
I have been collecting them for a few years now although my collection is nothing to be proud of, I realised that most of my Playmobil Friends are either Japanese, Taiwanese, mostly Europeans and some from as far as Brazil.

Most if not all my Friends are LEGO-ing but I personally find that Playmobil is much more aesthetically inclined and easier to collect because the line-up is very managable from a collector's point of view.

Also I recently did some customisation and found out that the plastic Playmobil use for its toys are very easy to work with and no glue (and very very few screws) is used for all its playset.
Most importantly, in the Playmobil World EVERYTHING is scaled accordingly across the whole line-up ever since the beginning.

Hoping to make some Friends across the straits and hopefully exchange some ideas if not toys.

Anyway, I will start by uploading some of the photography and customisation I have done using Playmobil.
I hope that you like them...

Also, may I ask if anyone know where I can find Playmobil in KL as I may be heading there early next month.
I use to go to KL quite a bit for work and play but do not remember seeing any...

Anyway, here is another from my customisation:

Do show more of your collections...
I used to buy some Playmobile when I was very small... but have not been collecting this for a long time, so, I am very out-dated already for the new Playmobile..
Hope to see some good collection from the forumers here...

Playmobil is very niche in Msia. I only seen them at Isetan and Metrojaya stores in KL & PJ area. Figure and boxset themed. But blind bags PL?YMobil figures even scarce. I only have some from series 1 and 2.

That means if I go to Isetan KLCC I may find some? Metrojaya...? Where can I find it? I usually stay around Pavilion area

I frequent Isetan at One Utama shopping complex and they have decent offering of Playmobil merchandise.

Within driving distance from One Utama is the Curve located at Mutiara Damansara. There is a Metrojaya store in the Curve that also offer Playmobil merchandise.

I have not been to KLCC for some time but they should have Playmobil section as well.

Cool! Thank you FunkyMonki! I will check it out when I'm there although I remember that One Utama is pretty far away from city centre but its definitely worth making the trip over.

Go check out KLCC first. If have time, try One Utama Isetan or The Curve, Mutiara Damansara Metrojaya.

Thank you my Friend! I definitely will check'em all out if I can. Hopefully, I am able to find some rare and old stuff.

That is some very creative customization and wonderful photography you have there.  rclxms.gif

As for Playmobil here i wouldn't raise your hopes too much as i doubt you will find the selection to be as good as what you can find there. Also price-wise, if Lego is anything to go by then you may find the items over here to be pricier.  shocking.gif

Isetan and Metrojaya at the Curve would be the places to hit but if you are at Pavilion then Isetan at KLCC or probably Lot 10 maybe closer for you to pop by and look-see.

In Bangsar Shopping Centre there is a toy shop called York House that has a decent selection but that is even more off your path than the Curve. Actually now that i think of it i did notice a huge Playmobil display outside Mothercare in Bangsar Shopping Centre which may mean that they too might carry Playmobil stock as well.

I will probably be hitting KLCC in the next two days so i might give you a siterep on the Playmobil front if you want.

Wow! Thank fess66! I'll definitely visit Bangsar too. Love that place!

Checked out Mothercare at KLCC and they have a few Playmobils only. A couple of single figs and a slightly larger fig + vehicle sets.

The pricing is RM35 for a single and RM59.90 for the fig + vehicle set.

TRU confirmed they do not carry the set, which is why Parkson KLCC also doesn't seem to carry them as they supply them their toys, i believe.

Didn't have time to check out Isetan but i know they have at least 1 section next to the Legos.

Wow! I am headed to Kay El on Thursday and Thank you so much for the extensive sitrep Brudder!

Playmobil Special is one of their series where it included one figure mostly with a few accessories according to the theme of that figure.
Special Plus is under the same collection but it includes even MORE accessories, hence the Plus.

It seems that the Playmobil in Malaysia is more expensive and if what she say is correct and that these Playmobil does in fact comes from Singapore, then I wouldn't be surprised that they costs more.

In fact, it is already quite expensive here in Singapore. That is also why I set up my own Facebook page (Playmo Hohoho) selling them at a more reasonable price whenever I can.
