i found out that version 6 not so ram eater as version 5..

ikm51 wow tested it so fast. Hopefully wont tat resource hungry compare to previous version. By the way, can let us know wad the "Mem usage" processes under task manager? Thank

bout 18k only.. i found out that version 5 is easier to use.. this version 6 added function i find it hard to understand..especially they got File,Web,Mail scan and Proactive scan.. wat's the difference between file and web and proactive scan ?

is it the same with the Real Time Scan in version 5 ?

then got startup scan pulak.. i thought in version 5 it's implemented with the Real Time Scan.. now seperate.. hmm.. susah susah..

now installed internet security 6 to try.. not bad.. more function.. but more memory eater..

later try the scanning process.. just now i try under AV 6.. scanning under maximum protection.. haiyo.. so slow.. after this try again IS 6..

startup scan will slow down PC?

Regards on all the comments, I have tried the antivirus myself and I have to say that it is really good, it doesn't hog or lag my system while startup. Maybe you all should try it 1st...

It is very good actually.. i have install it today.. and it work perfect.. the GUI also improve than KAV5.. but it seting are hard to understand for first user.. but it can be learn~~ ha ha ha overall it is the best for me. :-)

it basically scan any files tat u are surfin too i guess other den tat i duno y its scanning if i didnt surf..

all those u can set the prioty too.. max default or low..

well got some annoying things about this KAV6 compared to 5...first, it will not ask whether u really want to EXIT the KAV...it just close after rightclick and click exit.

2ndly u cannot scan a file unless u have KAV running..in KAV5 u can scan a file without launching KAV (that means when u rightclick a file and scan, it will auto trigger KAV, no need got start menu)

The Critical Fix 1 package of updates for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 fixes errors found in the previous version of the application.

Critical Fix 1 is a cumulative update for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0. It can be used both for application setup and as an update for all earlier versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0.

1) EULA files have been fixed.
2) An error that could cause a BSOD while scanning the UP702W32.EXE file on a network drive has been fixed.
3) The application can now accept key files with product code 131 when version 5.0 is upgraded to 6.0.
4) Caching of information about previous scans for objects on network drives has been removed.
5) Automatic detection of the following third-party applications during product setup has been temporarily disabled:
