Hi all sifoos

My family is buying another car soon, we alrdy have other saloons at home so this one will mostly be driven by my youngest bro who has jz start working.

I heard the current Vios and Forte will be out of stock soon so we plan to book the car by nxt wk. or else we will wait for the new vios.

My question is which one should we buy? the Vios G limited or Forte 1.6? I have brochures for both cars and it seems the Forte has more things and a bigger cc engine.

My bro's gf say Vios is better as it looks nicer but I disagree, but my uncle who use to drive a Spectra says dont buy korea car or becoz alot of problems. My dad also prefer the Toyota because we have an altis at home, but he also agree that forte looks good, the dashboard also looks high quality than vios.

need advice ASAP as my bro has started working since last month and needs a new car urgently. My friend pointed me to this forum to get suggestion so I hope you can help me.

if the car is only to fetch u from A to B, get vios, it has good fc as well, already proven since 1st gen vios, they use the same engine and gearbox in the new vios, that's all about vios; if u want more spacious, sometime going out with family or friends with 4-5 ppl in the car, more gadget like gps, reverse camera, auto dim rear mirror, c-segment, ESP, low interest rate promo (as low as 1.68% P.A) then get forte

Edit : Oops.. sorry... need to advice you... other then being a great car for its price.. it has zero "face/ego" value... so if you want face or want to have chick, dont buy it

Sure. Vios convenient and cheap to own (they say), the other cars expensive (are they?). But safer. If there is anything it will protect better. Or even avoid accidents.

Yes, resale value, everywhere got spare parts, every mechanic knows how to fix such an outdated car.

Fiesta LX sedan. Good price, best safety equipment and a body that is proven to be very strong and safe.

Yes. Should be a bit at least. But the Fiesta LX Sedan would be much safer than that. Around 80k... icon_idea.gif

(Can't recommend Rio and 208 since those are hatchbacks only).

Another alternative could be the Polo sedan... not as safe as the Fiesta, but perhaps somewhere between Vios and Fiesta. Got good discounts probably...

Why? Amongst the B segment sedans I think it is the best looking one... only the City comes close. Vios looks... not nice, Almera too. Fiesta sedan is just wrong. But the Polo looks quite grown up, proportions are relatively good (in the flesh at least), ...

Mind guide a bit how did you get to quote me without reply any comment? Need to learn more about this forum functions.

Back to topic. If only comparing these 3 choices.

If TS wanted B-segment, interior space could be compromised, point A to B, best RV and FC main priority where not a fuel drop less, go for Vios. Could still get you 12km/L in real city jam driving condition. Acceleration 0-100km/h in 11.8s. RV king and Toyota has best reliability, can't deny that. Ofcourse, the new Vios 2013 is better. I would forgo the Vios dugong and wait if I wanted Vios.

If TS concern is more towards family oriented, wanted something more than basic, can go for Forte. 0-100km/h in 11.6s, FC city traffic could get you 9.2-10km/L if stuck in jam all the time. RV is healthy & reliability/durability high. Maintenance is low and cheaper spare parts. Go for Forte if TS wanted space, build quality, handling, gadgets.

Conclusion : TS should bring few adults with him to try out everything. Most important, never trust the feel but instead take reading, measure and calculate the results for more precise accuracy.

Example, cars that has very sensitive plate on the accelerator would give the feel of powerful. The trick behind this, pressing the 1/4 of the pedal in car A could equivalent to 1/3 in other cars. Look at the meter RPM vs speed instead when pressing the pedal 1/4, 1/2, 1, etc. Handling test, if possible, get to somewhere secluded without endangering others to try hard cornering and simulated defensive driving evading object in zig zag.

Fiesta sedan is too ugly lor, my colleague drive one, everytime see I also dunno why anyone wanna buy that car.

Spectra when intodruced that time is a low tech substandard alternative and not even on par with Japanese made. Alpha & Beta engines are either old 90's tech MMC engines or modified from 90's tech MMC old engine. It's just 1 car that made to run and sell cheap.

Korean made reliability/durability only proven with Theta engines in Sonata NF blue taxi in here and Singapore. That was when MMC & Chrysler started building engines for Hyundai-Kia as the Koreans out of no where became rich enough to pay. NASA SC is only average, if you wanted to go for Kia, make sure you pick the right SC like Selayang to prevent trouble and long waiting time.

If you want Korean made with better after sales, go for Elantra 1.6. FC beats Forte 1.6 by 1km/L due to dual VVT & lighter chassis.

Different car has different smell. You can do your homework to find out. Smell can be defined by your nose, sometimes can't describe in words. Can you define how curry chicken smell like? Or A/X perfume compared to Chanel?

You and your buddies are spamming all over replying unrelated comments. Where is the car talks? If you are P1 sellman, what are your points of buying Inspira compared to Vios and Forte?

If not sellman, why have these complete list below your every comment signature?

It clearly shows that you are advertising what you are selling over Low Yat forum. Still want to clarify further? You want to do sales on LYF, better behave and adhere to rules. It mentioned clearly on Low Yat forum policy, no sales allowed whether directly & indirectly.

You came here and fight or challenge forumners because you felt the comments could affect your sales, that is clear violation and disrespectful to others especially flooding threads indiscriminately. Remember sales rules, consumer has rights to ask, doubt, question and talk.
