you got to adjust your aspect ratio, the typical way is to encode it again with different aspect ratio, this is because your TV has a different aspect ratio with the anime. Typical tv aspect ratio are 4:3

nero!! emm i'm sure it will take 1-2 hrs to burn a dvd right? so u usng nerovision or nero express? what i do is i convert all the avi file to mpeg and at same time change the aspect ratio. then using dvd author program to convert it to dvd format,. final step burn it using nero, it take about 4 minutes to complete, the result is much more better than using nero to encode it

Well, u can zoom 2x, 4x, but u cannot zoom 0.5x, 0.75x. 1X is the default resolution. No connection between zoom in or zoom out in this case.

even if u zoom out or zoom in it is impossible for u to see the subtitle, this is because the original avi format is 640x480,which is same as 4:4 aspect ratio while tv aspect ratio is whether 4:3 or 16:9

haha, that mean we need to buy other dvd player? and if u want to watch ur dvd at other place u need to bring yours dvd player? no need la , kelvinlow here is what i do first i convert the avi file to mpeg and at the same time add black line to the movie, using virtualdub , and guiffmpeg software...... if u can see each time u play any dvd movie on ur pc u can see the black space above n below the movie right? and don't forget to select aspec ratio 4:3 too and select either pal or ntsc

after that all converting step are completed, use tmpgenc dvd author to create ur dvd. with this software u can create ur own menu and edit the chapter . soon after u done with this, u can choose either to burn it diirectly to ur dvd or save it to ur hdd. but if the size of ur dvd movie are too big u need dvd shrink, this software will compress ur dvd until it fit in one dvd. and it's done ok for more info and help u can http://www.vidoehelp.com

If u don't want tedious steps, suggest u just ignore the sub lo~~ laugh.gif or get damonlbs dvd player. tongue.gif

YA! Better learn sth new. I start using virtualdub and avs scripting.. Alot flexible than other software tongue.gif

calm down , k?

working ppl also can do that mar. It's not wasting time. If u burn dvd movie, u also need time to convert to .vob den burn to dvd. Same thing.

whiteboard method is not wasting time. It's only tedious steps, which newbies like to ignore that. Need to dl what sofware. Den config stuff like that. BLah blah blah... But r u wasting alot of time? NO!! The conversion time is almost the same as u using nero to burn dvd movie. Maybe just a few min more. That's all.

In my opinion, it's depends on the users. If u don't 1 tedious steps. Den just burn to dvd movie. Don't complain lo!! Use what china craps dvd player to play. Zoom out abit, u can see sub. But u nvr get fullscreen. If u want some satisfaction, better use whiteboard method. Can watch in fullscreen and u can get what u want in return!! Learn more skills!! tongue.gif
