hehe..no need skill lah...the sceneries are really superb by themselves blush.gif

Used Olympus C4040 (PnS ?) Also have use of Sony DSC-V3 and Canon 350D which were 'dumped' on me during the trip when the owners don't know how to handle them. Of course, I was all too happy to have them to play around rclxms.gif , esp the 350D, not that I know how to pakai..Only set to auto and mess with ISO and flash aje.

Other members of the group had no problem with their PnS, except with a brief stint at Tianshan mountain , some cameras boycott..maybe due to the low temperature?.After that, all protect under jacket, only take out when taking pix, then no problem liao.

haha my fren his group 5ppl going there, only 1 camera still working(Survive), the rest of the camera all 'Ta-bao', maybe it's bcos there dun keep it back into the bag after taken the pic, so that the the diff temp between inside the camera n outside of the camera causing the camera malfunction.

Peace. icon_rolleyes.gif

Another destination on the Silk Route: Bingling Temple

Mountain side at Liujiaxia Dam, on the way to Bingling. A section of the mountain that seem to have given way.

Monk & His Buddha

The lilac robe of a monk brings some colour to the sheer stone face of the mountain where a massive image of The Buddha is found. The 100 ft. carving is est. to be constructed in around 420 AD during the Western Qin Period.

me also like the trip very much. Think i've seen like hundreds if not thousands of buddha images. Pity most of them tak boleh ambil gambar. Wonder how people of days gone by could do all those things deep in the mountains/deserts while journeying from west to east and vice versa.

OK..more pictures...theme for this time:

Windmills on my mind

One of my best stop on the Silk Road has got to be the Bazaar at a small town( by china's standard ie) ...Kuche

The hordes and hordes of people, produce from the villages, fruits and vegetables, poultry. The noise, colour and smell..it's just great. Can just feel the happiness and contentment that are reflected in the faces of the people there.

Isn't his smile infectious?

yeah..taking pix of people I see on my travel is my favourite.

More uploads.

Some scenery taken from the moving bus when we were travelling from Turfan to Urumqi. Everyone else was sleeping. I wouldn't let slip such magnificent sceneries for the life of me!

People who are not into physical geopgraphy may find the foll pix boring

Nature's Sculptures

The huts and trees at the water edge gives a sense of the comparative scale of the mountains.
