The Ibanez RG1527 is a seven-string RG series Prestige electric guitar model introduced in 2003. Features include a basswood body two humbucking pickups and an Edge Pro 7 tremolo. It is the successor of the RG7620 and it has been the only seven-string Prestige widely available since 2004.
The RG1527 was replaced by the RG1527Z in 2010, which features the Edge Zero 7 bridge. In 2009, a variant with a maple fingerboard was released as the RG1527M. In Japan a hard-tail version of the RG1527 was issued as the RG15271.
