CKD version is now at RM78k..would you buy CBU version at RM89k if CBU unit is still available?

personally for me ... YES!!

wow, cbu version is so superior meh? thailand made rite not japan?
RM10k saving for a car that was ckd-ed using a brand new machineries and equipment plant in Pagoh, wouldnt the quality expectation be the same at least (save for extra features)?

rm2899 including installation+painting.

its too early to change the bumper since the car is still new, if change to RS, donno where to store the ori bumper..
instead of changing entirely to mugen RS, my vote goes to this:

http://www.acm-motorsport.com.my/ViewCatal...RowId=4&Sortid=

i dont need to change the bumper (only skirting) and cheaper option instead..

if want change tyre? like 185/65r15 what do u think?
*
im not sporty type of driver, but always want to hv my car looks sportier. Im more on comfort driving tho.
If any cosmetic change to my car would affect the comfort aspect of it, i'll not proceed with it.
so changing stock tyre is not my preference rite now, as the current stock 175 means less contact with the road means less noisy, i'll stay with it for now until next replacement. 65 profile i would rather love to maintain. Of course, it compromise the looks and also driving confident esp when cornering. but 185 i dont think it affect much in term of comfort but really i dont want to change my michelin tyre as for now..

what is the lifespan of the battery?
How much is will cost to change battery? is the car still ok to drive without battery.
*
honda provides 8 years warranty for the battery and with that it give a good indication that the battery lifespan will be longer than that, and in any even, the shortest will be 8 years, anything lesser would deemed as defective battery.

the battery cost if you change the battery today is RM4k plus, im not sure the price 8 years later.
Logic thinking if there are many honda hybrid otr for sure the battery cost will be cheaper due to mass production and other alternative oem battery coming into market and this will further push the price lower.

if the battery is not working, effectively u are driving 1.3 petrol car, so yes, the car is still driveable without the IMA battery. Correct me if im wrong ya the otai2 here becoz i havent own one- yet. sweat.gif

after testing drive the CBU version, i think the car is beyond my expectation for 1.3l engine . highway drive 140km is not a problem to reach within seconds. quite stable, cabin is quite at high speed, responsive (overtaking using paddle shift), FC is impressive, nice dashboard and odomoter lighting, and other extra practical features.

Auto cruise is a must hv feature for me now..im quite enjoy using the control button on the steering (CKD doesnt hv this). Brake is quite responsive (not sure its due to also rear disc brake)..looking at the boot space, its made things easier without the need to consider honda city as alternative..

this two features i think i can live without..
1-hill start assist
2-automatic rain splash sensor

jazz design is very eye catching even without bodykit..

did you try stopping at slope and while autostop?
*
nope, but usually i just press the brake pedal. the car wont move backward same as per my other car (auto). i can agree with u if manual car need to have this hill assist.

well.. imagine .. zzzz...

uphill.. 30 degree ... u stop your car ...
your car "AUTOSTOP" .. engine stopped .. no force pushing you ...
you let go your brake without hill assist ...
the car engine will start BUT you car start going backwards ! ...
your car engine started ..  the car still going backward !!...
your car gear engage ..  the car still going backward !!!...

normal reaction ..
your leg will automatically lift up ur gas paddle and press brake.

sorry i make it like horror movie.
*
i knew the engine is stopped when the car is in full stop, but all i need is to continue pressing the pedal to resume driving..in short, whether or not the car engine is stopped or not stopped, there is no difference to me as its done automatically..unlike manual car..am i wrong?

from practical point of view, i will not using econ mode when driving on hill road...need more power lorr..so the car engine wont automatically stop right?

o maybe i do not know how and when to use hill assist..can u release the brake pedal when stopping at hill? i dont know this..

The biggest disaapointment is the lost of paddle shift and rear discbreak....

Go kedai potong buy rear disc break. Hahaha....
*
in hurry mode, all i need is speed and good overtaking, i'll switch to sport mode and get ready with paddle shift control..

imagine driving a long hours in highway at the constant speed without the need to push pedal? my leg is thanking to the auto cruise mode..

feeling superior safety - thanks to 6 airbags and 4 disc brakes..

those are not hv in CKD version.. doh.gif

maybe you should try it first .. smile.gif
it is like manual car going backwards.
with hill assist, release brake, it will hold for you for sometime till your car move forward..
let's go side by side comparison one day .. smile.gif
*
since u are an expert, want to ask this noob question:

1- is that ok to put auto cruise in standby mode while driving? only set the speed only when the road is less traffic..

2- In econ mode, is that ok to control the gear by using paddle shift when each time i want more pick up/overtaking?

wondering whether this will affect the engine or gear box in long run..

2014 Honda Jazz Hybrid Boots Out Toyota Prius c For Efficiency Title

good one, the availability of more hybrid system in car engine will lead to lower demand for petrol, then we can expect a lower fuel price in long term, stability fuel prices in near term..

but i dont like the look of the new jazz 2014..

Ya, i ve been test for both..not much different on the feeling while u drive..but both have their own pros and con.
Definitely the petrol will win in term of performance wise. The hybrid quiet slow on pickup. The aircond, i think same for both, dont know for the cbu version. I dont feel the aircond was off during idle for the hybrid. But as everybody know, hybrid win over the petrol on the fuel consumption. With the price only different 5k after rebate, the different only about the pickup and smooth acceleration for petrol, while hybrid give u less money to spend on fuel. Prsonal opinion, hybrid win for the long run
*
interm of performance, by looking at the size of engine, jazz petrol for sure is better, but hybrid performance is not that bad also..

becoz its ckd version thats why honda can offer such lower price..
whether its government initiative or not, i think partly yes, but the current promotion price is not due to the tax insentive for hybrid car, but instead allowing honda to open their plant in malaysia and produce CKD version with price much cheaper
