My condenser (air-con) is damaged by a rock from the road and estimated repair costs are expected to be around rm 1000.

After some googling, it is a common problem for honda cars.

No more honda for me.  vmad.gif

Hmm, strange cos my wife just sent our CKD Jazz for 5k service. From my wife's report (she read it from the receipt). It seems they changed the oil filter as well. There are 3 items on the bill :

a) Semi synthetic oil
b) Oil filter
c) Washer drain?  rclxub.gif ( I wonder why)

And everything is completely free like what they advertise. Is there any way for us to check which one is true or not regarding the definition of the promotion?
*
Urs is Jazz Hybrid? Mine service just got washer drain + oil only.. No oil filter... They say oil filter change every 10k...

From the Honda website, seems like is true... I estimate 'washer drain + oil = RM119' and 'washer drain + oil + filter' = RM150... Something like this gua...

What about yours?

Same lo.. Luckily is same, lol... Urs still got balance? Mine >99% finish.. Left around 5ml in the bottle only..

The only way to confirm bout oil filter is wait for other owner feedback..

the Budget 2014 didn't mention Hybrid tax exception will continue,
only see 2 segment maybe will help green car,
44.  To strengthen the development of green technology, the Government will  provide investment tax allowance for the purchase of green technology equipment and income tax exemption on the use of green technology services and system.

45.  To encourage a green lifestyle, Malaysian Green Foundation will be  established to promote and enhance use of green technology by the corporate sector and the general public. For this, a launching grant of RM15 million will be provided to the Foundation.
*
Didn't mention means will not continue? I thought it will further discussed in the new NAP review?

I went to mofaz for 15K maintenance.
Odometer is only 7100KM though.

RM270.
Came back home and check honda website, RM186.
wait what?
is this some mofaz rich people tax or something?
*
Urs is cbu or ckd? What items they change for this service?

CBU.

15K labour RM63
SM 0w-20 full synthetic RM 150.59  (25% discount from mofaz coupon) RM 112.94 after discount.
washer RM2.10
oil filter RM30.68 after 25% discount RM23.01
alignment + wheel rotation labour RM62
service tax RM7.50

total RM270.55
I know wheel rotation is during 10K KM, I guess they want to do it early. I guess I should insist to do it my way next time because by the time next service mileage would probably be ~10K KM.

they didn't give me the oil can or bottle, but i know they did change it. there's a different feeling to the engine.
*
I think 15k nvr include alignment, wheel rotation and full syn oil.. If u deduct those, it will be almost same with Honda website I think..

what's the normal oil?
semi-synthethic?
*
Default oil is semi syn, 5w30.. But in the manual, mention should use 0w20, so I not sure why this is not the default oil to n SC..

Any idea what type of maintenance the hybrid system such as the IPU need? If none is needed, then I think is ok to service outside after warranty end..

according to SA in hybrid roadshow, he say hybrid system no maintenance. In ur maintenance schedule also nothing is charged for hybrid system

however battery can konk so need to replace. it has 8 year warranty on it...

if u service outside u may risk ur 8 year battery warranty
*
U got the maintenance schedule? I only can see the price from Honda website, but not the items serviced..

If no maintain, how come the service more expensive than jazz petrol?

Battery is 4k only.. But if I service in SC for 8 years, the difference in money I spend will be much more than 4k compare to service outside..

do try the petrol version.
what i hate about the hybrid is the cvt.
if you drive slow like me, it's fine but when i do wanna go fast. lol nope.
at 15k price difference, it will be a long time to get it back just on fuel conservation.
but muh enviroment?
you still have to count the impact manufacturing those batteries, mining, transport, processing, etc.

my sister bought the car last year before the petrol version is ckd'd, but if she's buying today i would say get the petrol version. she agreed.
*
U must be missing the 11k discount for Jazz Hybrid + 3 years free maintenance inclusive of labour and parts..
