i have character in tonberry/masamune when server started.
but first 2 weeks login is an issue .

then started in NA server "pandamonion and Farmfrit for a week with friends from SG/MY.
found that it is pretty high ping 300MS for US server.
normal play wont be a problem but when during Raid it will be an issues.

so started in JP new server Asura 2 weeks ago.
so far latency ok and smooth.

just my 2 cents.
do check your ping rate on the server u gonna start before u join
