Doubt it, but some brands do last longer than others, even though at those prices, it's usually more convenient to just buy new ones and use the broken ones as your shoe lace.

Personally, I buy Bezel cables cause they've got lifetime-warranty, but from my experience, any brand is the same

+1

people buy spk wires based on applications, longer wires need thicker wire size----

refer to wire table herehere for guidelines of optimal wire size based on length/spk impedance

read through the article if have time, its a mixture of educational, entertaining, comedy, disturbing etc all in one, like watching korean movies-------

more often than not they tend to amplify the high frequencies more than what i desire and kill off low frequencies.

so generally i'd stick with plain old copper (usually a lot cheaper than fancy silver too!)

just for a general knowledge, cable CANNOT amplify frequency. The so called amplify are actually "maintain".......while other frequency are "lossed"

based on what you said, you could be right in the sense that copper just cannot conduct enough high frequency electrical signals while silver could.

refer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_re...nd_conductivity

from my layman experience, silver cables tend to give me ear piercing headaches and ultra potong stim without bass while copper is a good all rounder nod.gif

conductivity are not same with the frequency band that the cable is capable to transfer....

what howie said.

because if you think about this:
with better conductivity, shouldn't FULL SPECTRUM of frequency range be having a boost?

i think more often than not it comes down to how the cables are designed in the first place. however, i've yet to encounter with a pure silver cable that can fancy me.

I have using vdh the bridge hybrid for my tweeter and midrange. Its silver coated copper 12g. So far no problems with high. And my system fairly warm sounding too.
Quaza. Ur case might be a tuning issue...
