- Muffin acting in romantic scene for independent film's video shoot (don't mind the curly hair, she was all wet and sexy as it was a bathing scene.. ooh la la.)

- Sheriff with little boy from Tiratana (a fun event to let orphans socialise with dogs)

Didn't know there's a retriever page here. Can't resist to post some of the photos of my 2 and a 1/2 retrievers. I'm a big big big GR fan. thumbup.gif

In reply to one of the queries of how to manage GR's fur, vacuum the house everyday and comb them with slicker comb often to remove the loose dead hairs.

Looks like we have a GR pro here... Having 3 GR in a shot..Somemore can join video shooting, surely well-trained GR... How nice to have 3 big fluffy boys running around ur house and playing with...

lol, i'm not a pro, but a fan. hope to accumulate more knowledge on this breed as i enjoy their wonderful companionship. Hunter and Muffin are trained for dog obedience competition. the youngest one is still err.. under probation.

btw, the one on the left is not a GR - i think she's a bit mixed with some retriever blood in her (that's why i often tell people i don't have 3, but 2 1/2 retrievers!)

it sure is nice to have 3 of them running around the house. but then again there's also walking 3 dogs, bathing 3 dogs, spending on 3 dogs, grooming 3 dogs... blush.gif

Hi cloe, long time no see indeed! how's college? icon_rolleyes.gif i was very busy the past month with some projects. can you believe it, i'm going to start my first day at work as a college tutor tomorrow! talk to you more on msn when i see you.

haha, yeah you should tongue.gif ... i am vacuum twice a day and comb everyday cause i only have 1 GR.

Nice picture hunter.... ur GR stay cools... diff from mine that jump here and there. I suppose it still young (10months)
Aside from Muffin, the 2 GRs happen to love taking photographs. Getting them "look cool" in the photograph is all about a good sit-stay and getting them comfortable in front of the camera.

10 months is still young indeed, but it's good time to train commands. your dog will definitely settle down as he gets older (my grs used to be like that too!) - they reach mental maturity at about 2 yrs old. physical maturity at 3 yrs old.

btw, what do they do to your dog for the 50-80 bucks grooming?

QUOTE
btw, how much does your GR munch away a month ? RM100 ? 200 ? or more? wad vitamins / suppliments that u all give? care to give some pointers?

for my 3 dogs, they finish 1 bag of 15 kg kibbles in 3 wks time. so that's about RM 150. I do the grooming myself, so that's 0 for grooming. toys and treats are bought occassionally as their toys (nyla bones, rawhide bones, cattle bones, squeaky toys) are all very lasting. Of course there's also spending for shampoo, monthly heartgard pills (not sure the price, think it's about RM75-RM80?) and deworming them once in 3 months, plus the annual vaccination.

vitamins and supplements.. used to give evening primrose oil but have stopped. occassionally mix yoghurt, boiled eggs or can food with their kibbles. will also feed little slices of raw garlic when they have ticks/dog smell.

gr hunter, thanks for the explaination as well...

i understand that too much garlic may harm a dog.. how small slice is small ? gonna start doing some intensive reading on GRs soon. ( bought some books a while back and was too busy to finish them up. )

each dog will normally eat one piece of garlic diced into smaller pieces (as in, when you peel a garlic, the original pieces (seulas in malay)).

we don't feed them often though, only like once in a few weeks or when they have ticks.

if you are worried about giving your dog too much garlic, you can purchase garlic pills from petshops. it's in tablet form and you feed a few a day to your dog (can be mixed to kibbles).
