Always wanted a retiever . But can't have them as they aint good guard dogs. Just know something weird happened. Was it a sign from GOD?

I was on my way out of my house to town. As I came out my front door I heard a chopping sound coming from my swimming pool. I thought it was my sis swimming...But with the pool lights off??? Then to my greatest shock.....

It was an Adult Labrador.....  . It looked like it had been swimming for a while... but why didn't any of my family members noticed it? It was beginning to sink . I tried to call it over to me as I stood over the steps leading down to the deep end but it must have been too tired to wade to me. I went near it and was a bit worried about the temperament at first, but when I approached it, it seemed friendly so I touched it forehead first. As it was beggining to sink again, I grabbed it and aided it out of the water. After drying itself, I tried to approach it but it was afraid of me. Maybe somebody left my gate open so the poor doggie came in. I let if out the front gate and it walked away.......

Am still recovering from the incident...... Would have been really bad had it drowned. Lucky doggie.... Hope it stays nearby my place so that it goes home....

Let's just say you have your answer already. But this would be one time thingy for me unless i become house-husband.

Well, I wanted to give it a hug or a pat before letting it go, but it distanced itself from me. Maybe it was still in shock  . Anyway found out that the doggie came from nearby. Will be seeing it again. Bad thing is that the owner lets it go alone to answer the call of nature. What if a car rams into it?

As for where I am? Yupz... Kluang at the moment..... . You've got relatives or friends here? I might know them. Small world here......Sleepy town....
It would have been a huge tragedy should the doggie have drowned. I don't know how Im going to swim or use the pool. Anyway the doggie came from the nearby Convent. It would definetly go to Heaven.....

my housemate rescued a golden retriever from an uncle who dont wants to own him anymore... few weeks later, the dog was shot by MBMB coz it ran out lepak without his dog licence....

haha... nvm nvm... that retriever is kind cute... but only his bulu isnt smooth enough... perhaps the previous owner didnt bath him with good shampoo... overall, it a vr nice doggie... when i pass him the bone, he didnt snatch it... he gently pick it up from my hand.... vr vr obedient...

too bad he is gone now... sad la... my neighbour (a retired uncle) likes him vr much... he alwiz take him out for jalan jalan when we are not free....

Yups... small dogs number1!!! Hahaha.... but kinda scary when there is a demand, more breeders do more commercial breeding.... see now, shih tzu RM500 also can get.... and there are just too many shih tzus.... quite a number ends up in adoption homes or SPCA liao...

Dogs that are suppose to live in cold countries will have thinner coats. Yah, the fur won't be so furry. In our climate, all dogs will shed all year round but will go into major shedding twice a year.
GSD hehehe... how much ah? Latest I saw was RM1400 with cert. Now  only see people selling german shepherd with cert and the price is RM1000 over.

Yah loh.. like our labs hahahah.... everyday gotta sweep lah.

Yah, I saw the ad on Tibetan Mastiff... wonder how to keep... summore it's a big breed dog. Then there is that Fila breed... another banned breed here.

Hahah... same lah. Now I got spaniel living indoors, everyday my parents nag.... And I gotta use those lint rollers on my bed everyday coz my dog likes to sleep with me   I spoiled her hahahah....

Fila is a big fighting breed.... that's why banned here. Yah, like neopolitan mastiff.

HAhah... I would like a Neopolitant mastiff... but tibetan mastiff is like bear loh heheheh.... well, some dogs when never properly trained from young will tend to think of themselves as the alpha leader and will try to control the family. That is why we must show our dominance to them. We humans, become soft liao coz dogs so cute, we let them do almost anything ahahahah....

Im looking for another GSD and am still looking. You mentioned RM1400 with cert. Is it the imported bloodline(Long Fur) or the localised GSD(Shorter fur) >? The only GSD(Import mixed local) here near my place was going for RM1900 which is very higher considered my previous 2 cost me only RM1500(RM750 each).

And now you mentioned Tibetan Mastiff and I've read that they make good guard dogs and are territorial. Could you be so kind as to feed me with some info about their availability here, price and how well they do in out climate?

he's only 24 kgs. skinny hind legs. he can walk just fine but when he sits down.. its hard for him to get up.. he uses his front 2 leg/hand/feet to push his body up. is that normal?

no la where got 55kgs about 5.5kgs only la, but that was at like 2 1/2 months...

vet said he looked normal weight and height, but i was just wondering...
