i cant seem to find any utility that will enable me to copy from one ipod to another ipod directly, without first copying to the PC.

one obvious problem is with the USB specification. i guess they did not implement the USB on the Go spec with the current ipod batch. so by following the USB 2.0 spec, all devices must be connected to host as the USB connection is host centric. meaning a host is needed to take care of all data transactions and protocols
