This guy VH_20 is selling few sticks of the ECC Registered RAM, that's 1 GB Infineon x2 1GB Hynix x1 and 2GB Micron x1 at RM850 and i have bought from him.

He claimed that it can be use in Normal Motherboard as he tested on that's Asus K8N, Asus K8V-Se and i have tried that it come out beep sound only. I wondering how he test on.

And he said will refund for me upon i called, but today 14/05/06 he switch off the phone.

I still awating from his comfirmation now.

anyway, lesson learnt: ECC and registered ram module is only for server boards. normal mobo won't be able to use it or utilise the fail-safe function

Well.. hope MODS can move to that correct locations.

By the way, i havent test on Server Mobo whether it is work or not..

If not work i am in trouble to send for warranty since HP not allow me to send single unit.

lol i almost wanted to get from him ....but i dont think its his fault..you should do your own research too than to believe his words

it would have saved you alot of time and pain and $$$$

ecc only can work on normal board, but if ecc+reg then different story..

That's why i said, he said tested on normal so i bought it at the place he chose since he said cannot come over low yat... becoz i need to have try on my shop..

Well..

He stats there full refund if cannot use with K8n, A8V-Se as he stated can be use.

So i call up for last friday, he said no problem, and suddenly he said he go back hometown so deal on monday/sunday..

Then sunday he comfirm at low yat refund, but he disappear. reject my pm nor sms since he switch off the phone.

So by today monday. my sms is pass by but no reply from him.

What to do? you tell me

ok,i did said i will refund in my forum BUT,i did mention in my forum that i will refund ONLY if the RAMs are not working due to the RAMs are damage or broken,not because u bought a wrong RAMs that cant suit in ur mobo.thats y i ask u to google ur mobo memory specification first before buying...the RAMs are not broken and well functional,so by right,i make a right thing by not refund ur money,but i also feel its wrong for me to do that BUT again,due to im very piss off because i already mention to u A LOT,that those RAMs only can been use with ecc mobo,i decided to take steps that makes me a 'cheater'..

im not bad as u think,before this i already sold my RAMs to OneGSR,and he cant use the RAM with his mobo,coz his mobo doesnt support ecc,so i replace his RAM with another non ecc RAM..this is because in the early time i open up my forum to sell those RAMs,i didnt mention that those RAMs only for ecc mobo,so he bought it and cant use those RAMs so,i knew that it was my fault and i take responsibility there by replacing the ecc ram with non ecc rams..and it end up,he also bought the ecc ram from me..

ok,what i want to say here,after this OneGSR incident,i then put description of these ecc RAMs in my forum(very detail descriptions) and anyone who sent me a pm to buy my RAMs,i also remind them again and again that these RAMs only for ecc mobo and please check ur mobo memory specifications first before buying coz this is not normal RAMs,because i dun wan OneGSR accident to repeat again!! because im already tired dealing with problem like this..

and one more thing,u didnt mention to me that u want to do the COD at lowyat because of u want to test the RAMs,so thats y i choose we COD at Ampang Park,in between ur place and mine..

and its nice things u putting my phone number there,its makes me more piss off and..i dunnnoe man..maybe u guyz wil said im not responsible seller,but i dunnoe,i think i am right to do this because i did mention to u that i will refund only if the RAMs are broken or damage.btw it is very low price for RAMs that can support server..

Man, since you are claiming that it is working, then just show to me, and i wont ask for refund then.. this is the option i gave you. fair is it?

you said i am using server, yes, correct, but server got many types man, i can use pentium d as server with asus board. or amd 64 bit as server with asus board.

I have try with my shop K8N nor A8V Deluxe both are not working... So prove it to me...

Come to low yat here, and i will bring it for technician.

I'm not taking sides here, but there are a few things everyone should adhere to:-

1) Don't jump to conclusions. When someone doesn't pick up the phone, wait a couple of days and call again before opening a thread here.

ECC registered, that will only work with server board..
i knw that u want to run ur pc as a server..
but this is not a type of ram did u need since ur board not supporting em obviously.. a normal DDR will do.. yes NF4 board will supporting ECC feat as well.. but ECC non registered.. even me use ECC non registered ram for P4 s478(i865PE) platform..
all the board that u stated to try out the ram will not work with ECC registered ram.. so of coz it'll not working..

That is the information i get to know after i purchased the ram from him since he state that the ram work on his K8N..

What i want he do now is tested the ram only, if it work then i dont ask for refund since i got no server board at the moment. This is the simple things as he can do.

Once again, he promised that he come to lowyat to test it out on last saturday, but since now.. the seller seem like not going to do so...

ok.
so how im gonna bring my mobo? bring my cpu together or juz the mobo itself..

i will bring my Asus A8v-E Deluxe..
the k8N one,its my frenz mobo..
