Unlike United States, buying stuff online is a relatively new concept and not much people have tried it yet.
This poll gives an opportunity for all to discuss about your shopping experience, as in the online merchants you trust, the advantages, your bad experience of being conned, etc...
p/s - COD is not considered online shopping.

Seems like so many people (7-0) trust online shopping. For me, I will try to use Paypal whenever I can. I heard there were some fraud cases in paypal but I still trust it because I don't have to provide my credit card information in the merchant's website If the merchant doesn't support paypal and require my credit card information, I'll try to do some research and see if it is safe. I'll just ignore the site directly if I think it is dodgy Also, I tend not to buy physical stuff from other countries but rather use my credit card to buy non-physical goods like VoIP credits, downloadable software etc...It is sad if I had to wait for 2-3 weeks for the item to be delivered This post has been edited by samurai1337: May 14 2006, 01:00 PM

I just bought Nero 7 Premium 2 days ago.
I rarely buy physical goods online overseas, with the exception of anime OSTs and games, such as Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion which is the latest one I bought.

As long as you're smart about it, there's very little reason not to trust online transactions.

Depends on the goods, I do like to shop online and buy online. Sometimes things that couldn't find in Malaysia, other countries are sellings. Use Amazon hehe...

I've done alot of online shopping. I dont have any problems with it.
Though my friend had reloaded with Jaring online and on the same day, multiple transactions were made on different sites. But they have improved since.

Another problem is, slightly off topic, original software to be bought online is really expensive since it is in USD It is not reasonable to get a cheap software for $35 isn't it? Agree with Femi's point that online shopping is good to buy rare stuff that you can't see in Malaysia A good site to avoid online shopping fraud http://www.bbb.org/alerts/article.asp?ID=435

Most of my gadget I got it from oversea via online shopping. I'm comfortable with it as long as I get it from reputable sites.

Security-wise, i have full confidence.
