Enough of the "Straight out of camera" photos from me. Now it's time to put some other skills into practice.


Kirito is the main character from the hit anime Sword Art Online. The idea of the scene is to view Kirito from a Level Boss perspective, as if about to begin the fight.


The setup is inspired by the scene where Kirito unveils is dual-wield ability.


Smoke effects were added to give a feel as if it the fight is about to begin in a dungeon, with the backlight being stronger. Further post-processing was done to make the bright brown / orange floor material to a darker not to match the scene.

Canon EOS 60D triggering 2x 430EX II speedlights. For this setup, I just played around with the various light angles and distance to match with the pose I like.
