29 June
Looking at the good feedback of customers of Limrolando, I contacted him via PM and got a quote for 3 rooms in Grand Diamond Suites Hotel, Bangkok for 3 nights which costs (RM165 per room per night x 3 rooms x 3 nights = RM1485).

30 June
Full payment RM1485 was transferred as requested to Maybank AC: 151306879808 (Robert Low Heng Thai) at 30 Jun 2013 22:13:58

1 July
All communication with him below is in Whatsapp (+66920608900).
Limrolando confirmed payment received, I was told the booking voucher will be sent to my email at 8 July.

8 - 10 July
Limrolando replied that the server is having problem and he can't send the voucher to me. I asked for a screenshot of the booking details for me to confirm with the hotel but he refused, stating that he cannot disclose the booking agent to me. I asked for the booking number and he asked me to wait while he fix everything for me. This goes on for a few days where the "server" is still having problem. He last replied that he will send the voucher to me by 11 July.

11 July
Reminded him via to send me the voucher at morning, till end of day still no reply.Whatsapp message status shows that my message has been delivered to his phone (2 ticks). Tried calling his phone number but his phone is turned off.

My vacation date starts at 20 July and now I am unable to confirm a hotel to stay during my travel

The most scary part is I received the confirmation all payment paid in full also can be cancelled after we verify with subject hotel . Who can help check from hotel.com or wotif.com or Expedia.com the agent ID used to booking . Thanks in advance .

To be frank some of his booking was made quite late based on my encounter, i am currently in one of the hotel i booked with him as we speak.

my bookings with him was good so far so personally hope it is just some misunderstanding. Do try to contact him again and let us know if it work out.

I hope you can explain here lim, usually you don't hard sell to your client if you cannot provide room details like bed details. I saw the hotel room have many, you just quoted me RM 140 for WHAT ROOM? I wonder if this Rate is Con Rate Room now?



Well, Lim. If u r read this no hard feeling if you are genuine seller but your reputation is at stake if the buyer had open up this topic. You should know what you are capable of and what you are not . If you don't reply to the seller call, u r now a criminal after u take his money. hope you iron this shit out and review your business policy .

Same goes for the police report that was posted by Johnwoo - it doesn't matter Robert lost his ATM, the money still goes into his account and only he can withdraw as it is under his name

I have few booking with him previously. Only for near trip, its ok.

I have made booking for next year trip with him. At first, after payment to that robert acc, in 3 days he gave me the flight itinerary and hotel vouchers. Then my second booking, it keep playing taichi. Then after a week or two, all booking has been cancelled. Saying booking got problem, server down, MAS didnt send him. He also said Robert is his boss and he is going Mas office to settle and at the end, he also go MAS office. Did he mentioned this to u all? And somewhat we feel that this M*F* now/yesterday is in Malaysia by listening to his roaming voice mail/telco operator.

I have bought long-haul flight tickets from him and got my flight itinerary just last week after 1 month of my payment to him. The airline website says my 'booking is confirmed' from the booking number, with correct passenger names and ticket numbers. But I am getting nervous with this news.

By the way, my flight will be in early September.

yup, u will get your itinerary. But, pls check with airline. your booking can be cancelled anytime.

I have called the airline today. So far the booking is still confirmed. But I will keep checking from time to time, in case there is anything wrong with the transaction. This is giving me a big headache.
Btw, when did you receive your first flight itinerary?

Please follow up closely with Airline. But if there is any issue, it will cancelled also.
I received in May, cancelled in June with a reason, reissue.

Cancelled -> Reissued.... but considered valid transaction and you don't need to pay additional for reissue, I assume?

after he said reissue, wait long time also cannot get itinerary. now missing.

Damn.... This is terrible. The airline never give any information why they cancel it? eg, 'under investigation for fraud' or whatever details?

means he probably used someone's credit card to purchase, and they dispute to bank and the transaction cancelled lor.

Well, for hotel booking under Wotif.com they said the cancellation due to financial dispute, and wotif refund back to credit card bank and cancel the hotel booking.
So, obviously this shows that he is using other ppl cc to make booking, after the holder noticed and lodge complaint to bank, bank denied the payment and wotif hav to refund.
what to say more?

the credit card he used for booking my hotel in Bangkok, googled that name and turn out to be an air stewardess at thai airways.

he told me he based in bangkok, and i know that he can speak fluent thai language bcos he help me with the check in of my room at the hotel.

My experience with Limrolando, I had two bookings with him few months back.

First booking was a 3 night stay in BKK, in August. Banked in around little less than rm700 and he said he will give me the voucher 3 days later. 3 days later he forwarded a confirmation email to me from Venere.com. No payment information there but only my name on the booking with his email, and a Venere.com booking number, and emailed the hotel immediately after that to reconfirm my booking and it was confirmed and a booking number was given to me by the hotel.

I have just emailed the hotel again, hopefully nothing goes wrong as I read some bookings got canceled due to financial dispute.

Second booking was a last minute one booked the night before for a one night stay in Holiday Inn Siam in Bangkok. The deal was done circa 11pm the night before I was supposed to check in. He told to just show up at the hotel the next day to check in and whatsapp him if there were any problems. At that time he had good feedback so I just went without hesitating, check in was smooth the next day.

That's my only two experience with limrolando, it will be sad if he's a con. Anyhow I have emailed the hotel again for a confirmation on my august booking. Hopefully everything still there.

Well, the full stories is something like this. I surf through LYN Bangkok Thread and i saw him promoting that he able to get a cheaper hotel. And i saw most of them eventually say he's a nice guy. So i pm him, apparently he's a pretty nice guy, he give me some guidance of where to travel in Bangkok. I actually stated that i worried if anything goes wrong, he said and i quote

"Yes you can pay after check in but the price will be higher than this , you can check my thread , I never fail any of my customer on proceed to check in . So hotel not valid is a no in my dictionary "

So i proceed to make payment to him, it's like 1 - 2 weeks back and he say will come email me the voucher 3 days later. So after 3 days i asked him about it, he said this week, until i come across and realize someone lodge a complain about him. I whatsapp him, as usual but he seem like not appearing online since yesterday.

I'm not sure what i should do? should i call the hotel that i request?

Woah! I nearly book hotel from him for staying 4 nights in HK but in the end I canceled it because I still have doubt to bank in rm2k to stranger even though I pm-ed few forumer and ask them if he is genuine seller and all of them gave positive feedback. He is really good to gain trust from forumer at first and then only start his scamming. I'm really glad that I decided to book directly from the hotel. So sorry to hear for those who had been scammed or soon to be scam by him.

Just go through any reputable website where you can travel with peace of mind. Don't let those few % discount spoile your entire holiday plan. It makes no different by saving a few % ending up losing more. Hope all will get this scammer to return all the $ soon.

I have same experience like you. His rates was cheapest but I think twice before made advance payment booking with people. The way he whatsapp me very weird. At last I rejected his offer and now I feel lucky that I save 8k for the transaction.

It seems so far this guy committed credit card payment frauds by making an actual transaction payment then in-turn dispute a chargeback, it's an Chargeback fraud.

His rates seems too good to be true most obviously because he did not have to pay a single cent for the fraudulent transactions thus earning 100% profit from his scam.

What a creative way to scam. No one would expect this kind of scam in tour industry.

I just sorry to hear that. For those have suffered big/small loss, look forward and don't be too sad anymore. Believe in these bad people will pay back in one day. Take care

Now when I rechecked this Facebook, the page is no longer available. It seems Limrolando quickly deleted this Fb account.

anybody made police report already? he also took my money but not yet give hotel voucher!!

I also bought a tour package (flight + hotel to Taiwan) with him and paid RM2.4k.

Only showed me airline confirmation, but without booking number. When I ask him for the confirmation vouchers/slips, he gave numerous excuses like server down or touring in HK.

Until now I'm yet to receive the confirmation from him.

I felt weird and check back in lyn only saw this dispute thread created. Damn!

I just received a reply from the hotel, my booking is still intact for August. Phew

it can be last min cancelled just like my case

once i reach my travel country.. once i on my hp and the first sms i got from my friends (cz they took morning flight n i took noon flight) is our hotel room is being "CANCELLED"

guess what?? i confirmed with the hotel once i got the voucher. and also 1 day before my travel date. everything is ok. as being told by the hotel personnel, the voucher company sent an email to them at 4AM to cancelled my booking!!

if you are in my situation.. you will know how frustrated we are on that time. last minute where to find hotel room?? the hotel personnel ask us to pay walk in price that is so expensive!!

He won't be coming back.. Gone forever. But he will be checking this thread from time to time, even giving comments using another nickname.. Basking in the limelight of a brilliant scam. Like an arsonist watching firemen fighting the fire he started.

Your booking is advance purchase or BAR? If he just booked your hotel and didn't pay yet, it might create a trouble soon.

Advanced payment I believe , he paid at venere.com using my name and his email and then forward the email to me.

The only thing can happen now is venere.com finds out that he's using a fraudulent card , and then void my booking but I'm praying hard that's not the case.

In the voucher it stated he paid SGD252.82 = MYR632.05

I paid him MYR780, which is still cheaper than what I can get by agoda.

keep msg and call him to settle.. end up after dragging here and there.. he manage to help me settle for the remaining nite with another new voucher. he promise to refund me the first nite walk in rate that i paid when i back to msia.

just when i wanna pm him, saw that ts file this complaint case already.. so i guess my $$ is gone lolz

the weird thing is if he is a conman as others mention, he won't help me to settle with the hotel.. so unless he come out to clarify what is happening. else it's consider as con as well

Nolah, I believe he was waiting for some large transfer of money into his account, so he delay his disappearance by settling your 'small' amount before you raise the alarm...

I have left numerous messages to him on his email, Line and Whatsapp. Will give him until this Friday to give me a refund or else will proceed to make police report.
My total is RM1420.
edit: he definitely is stil, using his whatsapp account because I always see the "last saw" date is very new.

Making police report will be the least I can do. At least there is a chance they will investigate this matter.
what I mean he using his whatsapp account is, he is aware of the disputes and allegations against him. Cant use the excuse hospitalise or went to somewhere no internet connection etc.

I've just made a police report today. Went to Maybank right after that to report this fraud case. Apparently this ROBERT LOW HENG THAI has closed his Maybank acc. The staff even told me that at 1 glance, he can already tell that this acc owner is a scammer (ie. money transferred in but would be withdrawn immediately).

I then received a call from the police station, saying that this case will be brought to the civil court and that I may be required to be present at the court. Did you all get the same notification too?

let the bank blacklist this scammer.

Sigh. Unfortunately, the scammer has closed his account when I reported this fraud case

you did the right thing. u report to bank negara so will blacklist him from bank getting car loan, house loan or credit card. but this fella if run to thailand then end story.

I believe this Robert Low should be the guy or accomplce, LimRolando is just a creation. Hope the police able to trace him.
