Ok. Just stoked out Low Yat. Most of the shops on the ground floor carry the P525.
Unfortunately, some are out for a quick buck (or uninformed)... they asked for RM2588 WITHOUT the bluetooth headset. So becareful... Had a nice experience with PDA Expert. The sets were still new in the box when I approached them and they had no qualms opening one and letting me setup and feel the device. But they mentioned the headset and the miniSD card (probably due to the defect issues) has not arrived and will call me next week when it comes if I buy now. Decided that I can wait...(unless I can't which means I'll be back there tonight! Hahaha). |

QUOTE(DigitalKL @ Sep 6 2006, 01:43 PM) Same all round. Think it's agent controlled...probably will bargain for some free stuff when I buy it though.BTW, here are the agent's quotes on their distributors in Low Yat (by email) for those intending to buy there. This is the list from Phonestar (I don't own them!) 1. The Brilliant(O2 Zone) : Lot No G-K2, LOW YAT 03-2143 6446 (The PDA Expert Shop I went to) 2. Phone to Phone Sdn Bhd : 1-K13, LOW YAT 03-2141 9959 3. APRIL COMMUNICATION : lot 1.53AB, LOW YAT 03-2148 9918 This post has been edited by johnnyxt: Sep 6 2006, 03:42 PM |

QUOTE(williamngwl @ Sep 8 2006, 12:06 AM) already ask liao, asus p525 cost u rm2588 free 1 gb mini sd card and bluetooth headset thas all.so conclusion better buy dopod 818 pro with only rm2088 free 1 gb sd card hahaha...what kinda conclusion is that. both devices have different selling point mah. it's better to compare the p525 to the HP rw6828. they have the exact same specs, with p525 having the extra keypad.btw, someone earlier mentioned that the dopod 828's screen protector would fit exactly on the p525. that guy is damn right! |

Yep..to me it's simple...
None "Extra" Input Device -> Atom or rw6828 with Keypad -> p525 3G with Keyboard-> 838 Pro some people preferred the older XDA IIs cos of the bigger screen. |

Do any of you all experience a drastic slowdown in performance when the miniSD card is inserted? Or is this common?
I get a lot of lag when the card is in, but when I remove it, the response is back to normal (much faster). |
