HI

i am an international, studying in malaysia. wen i was in malaysia i was using the P1 broadband internet. however, i have already left malaysia for holidays since two months, and i am not using the internet services. but P1 is making me to pay my bills even though of not using it.
they said if i dont pay, they will blacklisted me etc etc

my question is, how serious is it if i get blacklisted for not paying the bills? will i be able to enter malaysia again? (because i have to come back to continue my degree)
will they arrest me or smthng?

It means u cannnot apply p1 only ... without settling the payments .
Private entity cannot block you from entering and continueing ur studies .

And you might burn ur deposit . Your deposit should be over 1k rite .

Yes, when i signed up for that, the guy at the counter told me, since i am not local, i will have to pay a deposit or 200RM and also, the subscription is One year contract. then i told him i will not b here etc etc

he said, its alrite, just 2 months before leaving Malaysia, stop paying the bill, P1, will cut it from the deposit, and after two months of inactivity, they will cancel my account automatically.
in this way, i dont lose my 200Rm deposit. and yes, he told me that, i will not b able to re apply to internet etc, which i agreed upon

but now P1 sent me email concerning the blacklisted thing, which kinda made me worry.

so i will not get arrested or whatsoever?

its not like, im am entering KLIA, a bunch of police man will come and arrest me ? tongue.gif lol

In Malaysia, if you have subscribed for a monthly based broadband service, you are expected to pay the amount billed every single month without fail. Should you are away and will not be needing the service then you should call their hotline and request for a temporal hiatus or cancelation of service. It is just for the service provider to inccure charges to you and they have the every right to black list you. Blacklisting your name means that you will not be able to subscribe any broandband plans in Malaysia anymore, be it P1 or other providers. They have linked blacklist record since last few years.

Nope you will not get arrested or whatsoever. If they try to engage in a lawsuit with you then you might get court summon and failling to attend the court summon will result to police arrest. But the chances of engaging a lawsuit will less likely happen, so it's just as the agent mentioned. You're blacklisted from applying any broadband internets.

Best is in future, if you plan to cancel any subscription just call their hotline and inform them. Better for you to be blacklisted and cannot apply in future.
