hi..my s3 is on 4.2.2 leak..i noticed the internet maxis speed very slow, around 80kbps only..so now i want to revert back the software to the official malaysia stock rom where i can receive updates via OTA in the future and to prepare for warranty in case..how to i do that?I ever ropt my phone and just used odin to flash to 4.2.2 leak.. please and thank you

edit: I TRIES KIES BUT IT SAYS YOUR FIRMWARE IS NOT SUPPORTED//SP NOW IM DOWNLOADING MALAYSIA FIRMWARE FROM SAM MOBILE..IS THIS THE RIGHT WAY>?

Hi.. so I already restore my s3 to the stock 4.1.2..

The problem is still cannot up date firmware through kies..in kies it says your device is unsupported to updste through kies..Should I worry about this?

Normally this is due to after you flash from some unofficial or custom ROM back to official some residual security code still sit in your phone.

My advise is you do a factory reset and wipe cache partition but remember all your information and data will gone. please do a backup before taking this move.

bro..this is what i did.
1.i use 4.2.2 leak..then i want to revert back to official malaysia rom
2.so i downloaded xxemc2 Malaysia rom from sammobile.
3. flashed via odin
4. factory reset and cache wipe
5 kies error message, so i repeat steps above,,still fail

ok..so finally.i downloaded the old ema2 rom..flashed it..still fail, then i used the jayceooi way and choose xme, after reboot, still fail and i cant access the preconfig(jayceooi way ) anymore..only one time they allow me to change the csc,

ok..so i factory reset and cache wipe again after doing jayceooi's way..still fail showing the same error message in kies even when i use the old xxema2..

but the ota update is working as it should, can download the mc2 via ota as normal..i dontknow what to do with the kies error message rclxub.gif

Try download Malaysian Firmware from other source like XDA or so... dont depend much on Sammobile (they are not Samsung representative) or downgrade to EMA2 first then upgrade back to MC2...

Is it better than the Malaysia emc2 stock? Looks like the same.i need to inform to you that my problem regarding the kies has not been solved..I changed the csc to Malaysia but failed althought it Can update via OTA..just kies only cannot.

So im going to ignore the kies.. smile.gif

Weird..it should update automatically. .try to uninstall the earlier updates for the maps and then install the update again..

Guys..im running on official malaysia 4.1.2..now,my phone receive update via ota..wonder what update is that...downloading now via ota

Edit:is is 86mb..quite big file for an ota update
