Intel I5 3470 @ 3.2 GHz
Asus P8B75M-LX
Elixir 4GB DDR3 1600

i want ssd just for sake want to try the speed...i do a little photoshop, autocad, sketchup3d but not occasionally just as part time job, no gaming only basic word/excel/surfing stuff

you should name your budget

Plextor M5S 128GB RM284
Crucial M500 120GB RM289
Samsung 840 Evo 120GB RM309
Intel 530 120GB RM344 <--- 5 year warranty
Corsair Force LS 120GB RM325

all these are pretty easily found and purchased at standard IT shops. best if you head to Lowyat Plaza for the above mentioned SRP

all within my budget btw.....among those brand ur suggest which one give most performance?

read speed wise, theyre more or less similar as its the SATA ports thatll throttle their speed more than the SSD

as for write speeds, Intel 530, Corsair Force LS and Samsung 840 Evo is the fastest among the top

but theyre still more or less similar in perf due to limitations of SATA3 port

maybe ill take intel or samsung....does ssd easily spoil? should i take intel with extra warranty or just get samsung..

unless youre really unlucky and got lemon unit, SSD is generally more reliable than HDD

both Intel and Samsung have very good track records in SSD reliability and quality, so no need to worry so much

bought samsung today....any setting i should do to improve performance?

No need to enable Intel Rapid Start and Smart Connect to use the SSD. Just plug the SSD into the pc and change SATA mode to AHCI and install new  OS into the drive  thumbup.gif
