QUOTE(kimsim @ Dec 22 2013, 08:28 PM) QUOTE(1024kbps @ Dec 22 2013, 11:25 PM) Evo, if budget allowed; SanDisk Ultra Plus performance is not that good, unless it's significantly cheaper than the rest. Owh, i see... So what brand & model should i buy? Can consider other brands like Intel, Plextor, Kingston, Crucial etc. Btw thanks for rplying me... |

QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Dec 23 2013, 09:23 AM) Samsung Evo series is the sweet spot right now for the speed and IOPS, shocking high vs the Intel counterpart. Owh, i see... i just using that's ssd just for speed up my os & program like photoshop & illustrator... ah, forgot for cut loading times when i'm playing my games too... heee... But if you just need a program/OS speed up, I think any SSD will do, just a tad 1~2 seconds different in real-life feels, buy with guts Btw I chose Plextor and no regret! |

After thinking about Samsung 840 Evo 250Gb price i think i wanna take Samsung 840 Pro 128Gb... Just OS and wanna use for program like Adobe illustrator & Photoshop only... It's worth it? Or should i just take Samsung 840 evo 250Gb? Bcoz no money to buy Samsung 840 Pro 256Gb... Hope someone can help me to solve my problems...

But I still feel my recently upgrade & review on intel 530 240gb SSD good than enough to handle all the ways. QUOTE(kimsim @ Dec 24 2013, 06:30 AM) don't force yourself to buy as what you can't do at the moment now. Owh, i see... Thank you so much for ur help... You really help me out... For me I would go for 840 Evo that is really fast than 840 series. Even intel 530 for me is good than enough. For boot up and loading really fast than traditional HDD. Cause I believe in the technology wise by today can be write up to 900mbs and next day coming up write in 1500mbs, we can follow that but at lease we use in advance technology than traditional motor spin with control by rpm only. ![]() I think i juz stay to Samsung 840 Evo... |

QUOTE(horns @ Dec 23 2013, 05:39 PM) one way to get 840 pro is to be patient, save more, and get a higher capacity one. it's gonna last you for years. it's not that you will change it after months. That's juz what i think before... But myb i juz stick to Samsung 840 Evo... It's more reasonable to buy for the price... |

QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Dec 24 2013, 05:15 PM) Gaming? Frame per seconds? Or does he means the loads time in-game? I would say take the WDC Black, better responsive vs normal HDD, in the case of Seagate SSHD, I guess it's just a small cache to compensate some small files for frequent loading so I don't think it'll help much in terms of loading games data (huge), it'll still loads from the HDD itself so the speed is still slower compare to WDC Black. Suggest him SSD... no turning back... QUOTE(kimsim @ Dec 24 2013, 05:44 PM) If I not wrong for black WD SSD read 200 & write around 200 mbs = sata 2 speed. Both! Fps & load time... She juz want budget hdd only for her lappy... But still better than seagate hybrid drive Owh, i see... I will tell her to take wd black then.... Thanks for ur helping again guyz... |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Jan 2 2014, 07:46 PM) Can't decide between Samsung 840 EVO 120GB or Intel 530 series 120GB Samsung has rapid mode and can sustain max performance even when fully filled up whereas Intel has 5 years warranty QUOTE(Puteih @ Jan 3 2014, 02:41 PM) I wanted to buy Samsung evo 120gb, then when you guys said it won't affect much, now in dilemma. I already use Samsung evo 120gb i think this ssd performance is not really much deference with my previous Crucial m4 64gb in real time... Should take now or later? :hrm: This post has been edited by Uncle Ron: Jan 3 2014, 03:37 PM |
