After playing the Lost Planet demo, whoa.. nice graphics.

Still got a lot of tweaking to be done though but then it is a demo only, I think the stagger when you get hit is just a bit too much, every single enemy shot you stagger and will be unable to fightback.

The grappling hook is a neat idea, pity you can't grapple while jumping but I guess that would be too much of a cheap move during multiplayer then. tongue.gif

My best what the moment was when playing the 2nd mission I saw a VS suit heading towards me so I decided to take cover behind a wall, that's when I noticed that the wall was shaking before I could run away.. the wall falls ON me as the enemy VS unloaded it's gattling guns on me.

I like the quick turn control scheme, if used properly it can be quite useful I think.

Wonder if this game would turn out to be an interesting shooter like Gun Valkryie on the original XBox!

But then again this game ain't gonna be out soon... DEAD RISING FIRST!!! heheheheheh.

Just now I found out that I could shoot off the giant praying mantis like bug's arms. After I shot off both arms it just laid flat on the ground and tried to lunge at me with it's mouth when I got to close.

Pathetic! I ended it's misery with a shotgun shell in the ass.

my wife was watching me play the snow pirates level, when I got hit by 3 rockets at the same time she yelp a little. Then later I used the grappling hook to jump up on the sniper tower and the rocket launchers DESTROYED the tower and all I could do was scream as I hit the soft snow but before I could recover another rocket buried me!!!

Cool stuff!

Well at least the resume works most of the time, instead of being unable to resume at all! Finished downloading through the night, will check it out later, maybe as warmup before GOW?

I like how you can latch on to an enemy VS and empty your gun into it.

I got my copy yesterday, and it's everything I imagined it being, the fighting and explosions are intense! (damn that smoke, hmmm... another complaint for next gen gaming! wink.gif)

now my only problem is.... if my wife start having contractions while I'm playing would I jump into action for her immediately or tell her to wait till the next save point! wink.gif

There is no next save point, the only save point u have is after u finish every stage. yeap, u heard that right. only after every level completed doh.gif

But don't worry if you die though, they have an RE4 like retry system so if you die they'll throw you back to to closest check point. Just that you can't leave and come back mid game lar.

Ouch my aching wrists... guys.. the Mission 5 boss, the one with the breakable arms, and the menacing looking stalacties on top of the hole where the boss comes from. Well I'm still trying to kill him (curse this hard mode..) So any help would be nice.

I know the stalacties must do something since when I drop them on it's head it gets hurt.. but only a bit.. I'm guessing it should hurt a lot if I do it properly. tongue.gif

the thing is.. it would seem that in EACH difficulty level the target marks are different. I think.. unless I remembered where I got them wrongly

I don't like the last boss of Lost Planet. I don't like games which change the mechanics at the last moment. I mean.. here's the last boss, it should be an accumulation of everything that I've been through.. but they throw you a curve ball and have you relearn piloting your VS...

Killing the worm

Killing the moth

Err... did you do this during campaign mode or mission replay mode? After you kill it do you immediately get the acheivement or have to finish the whole level?

OK, let me answer my own question.. yes you can do this in mission replay mode, but u dont get the achievement credited till you finish the mission.

Oh here's a good one, I was shooting the worm and then all of a sudden it coughed whissed, vomitted thermal and dropped into the ground, then the music stopped. I thought I killed it but ... I didn't shoot all it's weakpoints. Then.. a few seconds later it reappeared with all it's weakspots intact again.

I did it another 2 more times, then gave up and decided to go finish the mission, and BOOM.. Achievement Unlocked!

So errr.. you don't have to kill the worm to get the worm hunter achievement? Maybe just hurt it a lot?

Yeah.. the moth one looks spectacular.. how could you have the heart to kill something so majestically beautiful?

Oh yeah... it was payback for laying those explosive eggs a few levels ago!
