Hi guys, although this question has been brought up a few times, but yet I guess also many people are still interesting in this topic?

So here I hope u guys will share about overall of the car as in like performance, comfort, design and etc.

For me personally I prefer the fd in every sense compare to fb but I prefer the gadgets of the new civic as in like keyless entry, electronic seat..

8gen looks more aggresive & sporty; but 9gen is not bad either (better than screen shots) - looks bold & more business-man like.

Either way both have multi-link rear and be happy with it.

I do agree FD looks nice. on 1st glance FB does not look good but over time you will realise it is not bad at all. FB is more like look-durable type haha

agreed, before i feel FD look better than FB when FB just come to market, but after see the real car now FB look better than FD.

but still FB and FD are very nice looking car, the shape and design can last quite long before it get outdated.

lol, before i got to understand what FD and FB was about i thought is was between facebook and something,. haha..

Personally i think the exterior of FD is better than FB..
however, FB got more gadgets only.. the exterior was a tragedy for me..

i don't understand why their designers can sort of hit it and dont hit it generation after generation..

Depend on your age.

FD look sporty and plenty of modular to suit it up. It attract many youngster and family people. FD is DOHC engine

FB look more like family car and mature. Not attract to youngster. FB is SOHC engine.

I still prefer FD. From the look till the engine.

IMO... only FD worth buying is the 2.0L version with the K-series engine.

engine parts interchangeable with Integra DC5, FN2R, FD2R... plus tons of aftermarket performance parts available.

I drove both fd and fb hybrid. I would say fd sportier, more character and style. However, driving the new fb, it is nicer and easier to drive. Less vibration and easier handling. Like the steering wheel, gear shift, all more easy to control. I dun feel the aircond kick in that obvious with fb too.

To be frank, Civic is so yesterday now. Not only is the chassis and engine and transmission performance using outdated tech, the interior gets worse and the exterior is not even exciting to begin with.

There are so many cars out there at same/lower price that outperforms the Civic in every category. The FD WAS a good car, back in those days unfortunately.

Seriously, Honda needs to buck up their Civic to live up to its legacy.
