IMO... only FD worth buying is the 2.0L version with the K-series engine.
engine parts interchangeable with Integra DC5, FN2R, FD2R... plus tons of aftermarket performance parts available.

I drove both fd and fb hybrid. I would say fd sportier, more character and style. However, driving the new fb, it is nicer and easier to drive. Less vibration and easier handling. Like the steering wheel, gear shift, all more easy to control. I dun feel the aircond kick in that obvious with fb too.

To be frank, Civic is so yesterday now. Not only is the chassis and engine and transmission performance using outdated tech, the interior gets worse and the exterior is not even exciting to begin with.
There are so many cars out there at same/lower price that outperforms the Civic in every category. The FD WAS a good car, back in those days unfortunately.
Seriously, Honda needs to buck up their Civic to live up to its legacy.
