I'm a little concerned, the KO I've seen so far are quite bad and I'm not interested in them... Like the rest of you I'm a purist and will only buy original Lego. nod.gif However, if they are very close copies of the originals then we have to start worrying about unknowingly buying fake minifigs/sets from unscrupulous sellers.... hmm.gif

Easy, first buy 7498 Police Station then buy 10197 Fire Brigade to start Modular poison. Later when Lego release Modular hospital you can buy that too. And I'm sure one fine day Lego will also release Modular police station, by then you will be tired of 7498 so you no need to think twice to get it.... After that you have a Modular Lego City. icon_rolleyes.gif

Yeah, I didn't fully appreciate the severity of the problem until recently when I was doing a COD for 10240 UCS X-Wing and the buyer asked if the set is original Lego? He texted me after going home and asked how come the box don't have piece count? Lucky I remembered reading in the forum here that only USA sets have piece count printed on the box, European sets don't have. Phew! sweat.gif

Previously I have to ship without the Lego carton boxes to save weight but now with UPS I don't have the 20Kg weight limit anymore so I requested to have all my sets shipped in original Lego carton box if possible. It's more expensive with UPS but look at the condition of the boxes! wub.gif They come directly from Lego distributor.

Lego has been producing in China for some time now... Currently it is under contract manufacturing. The recent news you heard is Lego setting up their own factory in China and hopefully that will address the quality issues like what you have experienced...

Nothing much to see here, I believe someone hauled the last # 7498 Police Station I saw sometime last weekend.

TOYS R US:
Major restock here folks. Shelves are overflowing with stock. I can't imagine how people can haul here when there's no sales unlike overseas. Imagine us Malaysians having Toys R Us sales like overseas. Stocks will be flying off the shelves.

Poison (not mine of course. But I'm tempted to get the Lone Ranger Cavalry Builder set to get the accessories like pistol, backpacks and flesh coloured heads!). Sorry I didn't get the prices though.

The Gunship with Padme, Anakin and others. There is alot of room for more troops and jedis. The 2 supers are just tagging along for the ride at the moment.

For some reason you get 2 super battle droids to play around with. I feel sorry that this 2 supers are wayyyyy outgunned in this set.

The gunship can also seat the entire fellowship! The hobbits and the dwarf can fit into those bubble turrets although they cannot sit down. Since Legolas is such a good marksman, he can hang on by the side and shoot.

I didn't face such a problem, it is very sturdy and well built. I don't have the old version to make a comparison though. hmm.gif In fact, I would go as far to say the current generation of Lego Star Wars are very well built. icon_rolleyes.gif

lol! No la, I just like toys that involves me building them. Help me to de-stress and take my mind off things... Those toys that just buy home and play I'm too old to be interested in them anymore... lol!

Before coming back to Lego I was happy to buy one 1/100 scale Gundam model and slowly build it over 2-3 months. I'm not one of those skilled modelers who can custom paint their Gundam, they are truly an amazingly talented bunch!! notworthy.gif notworthy.gif I just put them together and enjoy the sight of the beautifully crafted robot, the only thing I do is painstakingly trim the part where I cut to make it as smooth and unnoticeable as I can make them...

Was planning to learn how to do air spray to customise them but then Lego hit me hard (very very hard) on the head and here I am today... lol! icon_question.gif

Looking back, Gundam was probably a much cheaper hobby than Lego! Recently got bitten by Gundam again so pull the trigger on my first ever 1/60 scale Perfect Grade. Cost me RM600! Last time RM150-200 for a 1/100 scale Gundam was ok and I told myself I gotta be crazy to buy those 1/60 scale ones from >RM500... Now that I'm buying Lego like crazy the 1/60 Gundams look so "affordable"! doh.gif
