QUOTE(capm @ Jul 22 2013, 10:12 PM)
Things to take note:
- very hot there, bring more water to drink, especially for the kids.
- food is expensive in the park, taste so so only. there is a mall outside the park (called medini?), if got time can go outside the park to eat. Not sure about day pass, annual pass holder can exit and re-enter the park anytime.
- Not sure about your grand parents, my parent (around aged 60) feel very sian in the park, they rather sit inside the lego room and wait because is very hot out there. Nothing much for them to do there, only watch the 4d movies.

Things to play:
- after enter the park, for kids, can start to play from the right side after passed the bigshop - most of rides for kids. My Kids super like the driving school, but long q if on weekend.
- for family games, can play rescue academy (quite fun but tiring) and lost kingdom adventure.
- for adult, go to the left side from the entrance - most of the rides for adults, like project x etc.
- from the entrance go straight is miniland
- if got kids above 7yrs old, can register to play mindstorms (somewhere near project x) - but long q. Never try that before as fully booked.
- there are 4 4D movies - chima, spellbreaker, racers and clutch powers. imo the best is clutch powers, chima is new I never watch before, the other 2 (spellbreaker and racers) if no time can just skip.

Things to buy:
- all lego sets selling at RRP, no discount, not worth buying imo, unless you can find EOL sets which is unlikely.
- Those interesting one are lifestyle products, polybag, pick-a-minifig and pick-a-brick, which you can't find it anywhere in KL.

That's all for now, will let you know if I recall anything.

for food...if you go to The Cafe, i think its more worth it and taste better, on my experince i only tried market restaurant and the cafe...the cafe price is reasonable if you can afford a subway sandwich icon_idea.gif

The modular buildings fit the superhero theme very very well. Especially when you have a whole street of it.

Then there is a vet (using parts from the Heartlake Vet and Olivia's house) for your villains to rob or your superheroes to send their pets there.

cute basics modular, so far basic set i oni got one window. maybe should buy the windows brick set

ur corner olivias house mod also look quite tough to do esp the corner part... i am struggle to make a decent corner in my ldd design also without copying modular building instructions. lego should come up with a bit more "corner" plates and bricks.

Use Evernote. No need to print. Awesome app. Syncs your notes on desktop/laptop as well as mobile device. I'm using it to take note of LEGO prices and misc notes as well.

Or can try Google Keep as well.

Was there in Oct 2012. Felt adventurous and went outside to the mall to this Mexican Pizza place. Nothing to shout about. Think Manhattan is a safe choice.

All theme park f&b is expensive! That's why I invested in a Deuter backpack with rehydration pack. I always carry 3 liters of water on my back when traveling tongue.gif

My mum gave my well kept G1 Optimus Prime to her students to play when she was giving them private tuition.

I almost cried when I saw the prices for 1st issues. Almost RM 900!

Settled for the reissues few years back.

Good morning/afternoon taikuns! biggrin.gif

Very interesting feedback on Legoland MY, especially from capm and paanjang's review is very professional! rclxms.gif

Just to add my 2 bricks worth on visiting Legoland:
- theme park is really meant for families with kids, ideally they are aged 6-12 to be able to enjoy the bigger roller-coaster rides which have minimum height restrictions. But they rides are not big thrills for teenager and young adults.
- essentials to bring to the park are lots of water/drinks, some snacks and unbrellas (mainly for the ladies and kids to protect against the sun and/or rain). If going with family/kids, I usually bring my run-down kids stroller to store all the essentials mentioned above and also any brick goodies you buy from the shops. The park is huge and be prepared to do a lot of walking.
- go during the middle of the week to avoid long queues of ard 45-60 mins per ride or longer which is usual during weekends. This is very important if you want to go on most of the rides and still have time to browse in the shops.
- I usually eat outside the park at the nearby mall - KFC, Burger King, Old Town, etc.

Does anyone know if the giant Death Star display is out already? Was in the news some time back but havent read any updates since. Also heard that they are selling bags of bricks to build minions at the PAB section, prices range from RM5x-8xx. Ouch! whistling.gif

I was wondering if anyone here is interested in car-pooling for a day trip to LLM from PJ/KL. Estimate if 3-4 ppl in a car we could share petrol and toll (and speeding ticket laugh.gif ) costs which would be less than rm100 per person. Need someone with a truck or MPV if taikuns want to haul back lotsa bricks! thumbup.gif

Bro, you're right. Unfortunately the haze is back. So those going need to bring along some masks, or postpone their trip. At least the Q's won't be as long. Don't know if that's good or bad. smile.gif sad.gif
