Yeah, just copy zip to SD, then flash that. Then flash the recovery.

I do yes. There's a chance recovery might not be there after the flashing if I'm not mistaken.

    Flash rom thru recovery without wiping anything.

DIFF FIRMWARE BASE

    Flash rom thru recovery without wiping anything
    Turn off device. (Hold power button + vol up until vibrates 3 times) [or use recovery turn off device option, if any]
    Flash latest Sony's firmware (FTF) matching current latest monxDIFIED base rom using flashtools. Uncheck all WIPE options and exclude all EXCEPT KERNEL & BASEBAND to get latest matched kernel & baseband.

Now I always do that, to prevent it get lost.

My step:

• Flash any new release ROM I want.
  
• Flash my own wanted HOME.apk which stick forever the page indicator.
  
• Flash [NUT] Dual Recovery.
  

you got mount as r/w or not? instead of r/o

You sure you change it? Check back whether is change.

After restart it will change, no need change at home launcher.

please help, i flash monx rom, but after i boot i got no service. i hv reboot many times already. i did a clean install as this

LOCKED & UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER

    1BACKUP any critical data to microSD
    2Copy this rom zip package to microSD
  3 Reboot in recovery, (do nandroid backup), do factory reset & install rom until finish
    4Turn off device. (Hold power button + vol up until vibrates 3 times) [or use recovery turn off device option, if any]
  5  Skip step no.6 if u already running same base firmware with latest monxDIFIED base rom. Else, proceed.
  6 Flash latest Sony's firmware (FTF) matching current latest monxDIFIED base rom using flashtools. Uncheck all WIPE options and exclude all EXCEPT KERNEL & BASEBAND to get latest matched kernel & baseband.
  7 Turn on phone. Done.

i skipped step 6, could this is the reason why i dont have any network service? btw which is the latest fTf that match the current latest monx rom? my current kernel is c attachment

** BACKUP EVERYTHING THATS IMPORTANT TO YOU FIRST (sms, whatsapp, etc,).. whatsapp just generate it under chat settings then navigate to /sdcard/whatsapp, copy the whole folder.. too bad whatsapp isnt stored on server but locally.. many users always mistaken this

** after flashing the .ftf, your stuffs are basically wiped.. so no going back, but dont screw up (like suddenly plug out, or suddenly power off, no battery, etc.. so fully charge it first or at least above 50%), if flashing is incomplete , you might brick your phone..

1. basically just put BOTH ZIPS into the external sd card
2. the .ftf you put into flashtool's firmware folder (you know what's a flashtool right?)
3. power off
4. see this for more instructions on how to flash the .ftf (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240614)

5. then boot into CWM/TWRP (press volume up) after you've seen some purple/green LED light (or it might boot itself into recovery the first time.. but to play it safe, press the volume up upon booting when you see the purple/green LED light)

6. after that flash the rom in CWM/TWRP, flash B first, then S second.. because B is the base..

its just weird both zip files are 700mb ++, but according to the instructions, B first then S.

I dunno why I cannot copy my whatsapp folder through usb, so I always copy it to my ext sd card :S. Haha
