QUOTE(refnulf @ Jul 16 2013, 01:22 PM) I do yes. There's a chance recovery might not be there after the flashing if I'm not mistaken. If you're running a previous monxdified, you need to do all that. Instructions are on his page. [UPDATES & UPGRADE] U are currently running previous version of monxDIFIED rom. IGNORE RECOVERY INSTALLATION WARNING. SELECT NO & PROCEED AT THE END OF RECOVERY IF USING CWM RECOVERY SAME FIRMWARE BASE Flash rom thru recovery without wiping anything. DIFF FIRMWARE BASE Flash rom thru recovery without wiping anything Turn off device. (Hold power button + vol up until vibrates 3 times) [or use recovery turn off device option, if any] Flash latest Sony's firmware (FTF) matching current latest monxDIFIED base rom using flashtools. Uncheck all WIPE options and exclude all EXCEPT KERNEL & BASEBAND to get latest matched kernel & baseband. QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Jul 16 2013, 01:25 PM) Now I always do that, to prevent it get lost. okay thanks My step:

(Hold power button + vol up until vibrates 3 times) [or use recovery turn off device option, if any] 5 Skip step no.6 if u already running same base firmware with latest monxDIFIED base rom. QUOTE(mafioso @ Aug 3 2013, 09:56 PM) Andrewtst and others.. i am on monx 423 rom now. do i need to flash the 423 stock rom first n root n all those?http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2377788 apparently this rom got "double tap to wake screen" feature the guide on the thread mcm so complicated. If you are on Android 4.2.2(10.3.A.423) -= ~Please download the V3S zip and C6603_10.3.1.A.0.244_GenericCE-stripped.ftf ~then put the C6603_10.3.1.A.0.244_GenericCE-stripped to your Flashtool's direction flashtool/firmware ~Put the V3B zip into your External SD CARD :::MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE!! I CAN'T GUARENTEE THAT IT WONT WIPE YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE!! YOU ARE WARNED!::: ~Power off your phone ~At your computer, open flashtool, choose flashmode then choose C6603_10.3.1.A.0.244_GenericCE-stripped.ftf then flash it to your device ~When done, boot into CWM/TWRP,make a full data wipe(data, cacheP,DalvikCache) first then flash the V3B zip which you putted it into your external sd card just now ~When flash are done, reboot your phone, First boot are slow because it was setting up system, please patient ~when done, do some setup, then enjoy! PS:It is recommend to wipe your data before flash this ROM because it may produce some conflict to new firmware |

QUOTE(mafioso @ Aug 4 2013, 12:38 PM) not complicated ookay. lol. i know flashtool. ** BACKUP EVERYTHING THATS IMPORTANT TO YOU FIRST (sms, whatsapp, etc,).. whatsapp just generate it under chat settings then navigate to /sdcard/whatsapp, copy the whole folder.. too bad whatsapp isnt stored on server but locally.. many users always mistaken this ** after flashing the .ftf, your stuffs are basically wiped.. so no going back, but dont screw up (like suddenly plug out, or suddenly power off, no battery, etc.. so fully charge it first or at least above 50%), if flashing is incomplete , you might brick your phone.. 1. basically just put BOTH ZIPS into the external sd card 2. the .ftf you put into flashtool's firmware folder (you know what's a flashtool right?) 3. power off 4. see this for more instructions on how to flash the .ftf (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240614) 5. then boot into CWM/TWRP (press volume up) after you've seen some purple/green LED light (or it might boot itself into recovery the first time.. but to play it safe, press the volume up upon booting when you see the purple/green LED light) 6. after that flash the rom in CWM/TWRP, flash B first, then S second.. because B is the base.. its just weird both zip files are 700mb ++, but according to the instructions, B first then S. downloading the v3B now. just now downloaded the v3s only thanks for explaining to me |
