down to your preference
by default the update from sony themselves wont wipe anthing
so you can continue using the phone as normal

but people said that the 4.2.2 update is laggy
(i cant feel it)
but compared to honami rom, it does show some laggyness
*
tq for teh tips!

i flashed to 423 without wiping anything then root then flash monxMODE modified rom..
now my phone super beautiful! tongue.gif
i didnt feel any lagginess for now..(yet) maybe will try flashing Honami rom later to test it out myself

I recommend wiping everything. My phone had a slight lagginess to it after upgrading from .253 [4.1.2] to .423 [4.2.2] but it was gone when I wiped everything and reflashed the .423 [4.2.2] .ftf
*
so you reflashed 423 with another 423? thats nice... i didnt think the method exists! lol thumbup.gif

Monx i1 HONAMI can improve bettery life???
*
well of course theres no evidence to support this.. you have to try it yourself and feel it. as for me, i tried monx honami and existenz.. and also monxDIFIED rom.. i1 Honami is the most stable and better battery life among them all.. a slight better than stock lol. after all it all depends on your usage hehehe notworthy.gif

please help, i flash monx rom, but after i boot i got no service. i hv reboot many times already. i did a clean install as this

LOCKED & UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER

1BACKUP any critical data to microSD
2Copy this rom zip package to microSD
3 Reboot in recovery, (do nandroid backup), do factory reset & install rom until finish
4Turn off device. (Hold power button + vol up until vibrates 3 times) [or use recovery turn off device option, if any]
5  Skip step no.6 if u already running same base firmware with latest monxDIFIED base rom. Else, proceed.
6 Flash latest Sony's firmware (FTF) matching current latest monxDIFIED base rom using flashtools. Uncheck all WIPE options and exclude all EXCEPT KERNEL & BASEBAND to get latest matched kernel & baseband.
  7 Turn on phone. Done.

i skipped step 6, could this is the reason why i dont have any network service? btw which is the latest fTf that match the current latest monx rom? my current kernel is c attachment    icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif

so u done all steps and your phone works fine except the network right? have u tried reset factory setting through recovery and try cleaning cache and dalvik... then try resetting factory setting at phone setting. good luck ya sweat.gif

i did all the step except step 6. now trying to do factory setting first via phone setting.
*
me too i did all the steps cz i already running the same firmware.

anyway i face a little lag after i flashed from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2 and after using monxDIFIED DARK for quite a while

some of the forumers suggest to reflash to 4.2.2 and start flashing the custom rom all over.

i did that and truth be told, its super fast and less lag. no more flicks and smooth like silk. rclxm9.gif

guys, in terms of battery for daily usage, which one is the best between ZL, Z and optimus g(any user switch from optimus g to ZL) ?
*
i think ZL is the best for battery usage because it uses less display (720p) so use less battery than Z / LG which have 1080p. smile.gif
