Dear all Android Experts... please help...

PROBLEM 1
I use Sony Bridge to sync my contacts from iTunes. Some of the contacts in my phone, when I key in the phone number in the dialer, the contact will appear, but when I try to search the same contact in phonebook (by typing the name), the contact will not appear.


PROBLEM 2
I chose to sort and display my phone book by first name first, most of the entries are displayed correctly except for those entries that has a mixed of english name and chinese name, the display will be all messed up


PROBLEM 3
I have a Bluetooth Sony Car DVD player with Medialink. When I connect my iPhone with the Car player, when a person called, his name will show on the screen because the Car player access my iPhone phonebook, but when I connect Xperia with the car player, when somebody call, only the phone number will appear



Is it Android? or Is it Xperia Z or Is it just me? rclxub.gif

Problem 1

About filtering display, I tried that, I have 3 google accounts, I made sure I only sync with the main one which has all the contacts I want, not to mix up with the other two google accounts. 1 google account, 1 phone book, but still the same problem. Then today, sony customer service told me to try ensuring my contacts are assigned to the group "My Contacts" in my google... I did that, selecting all 2000 contacts in my gmail and assign them to "My Contacts"... it seems to work, still testing... for what logic / reason I don't know though...

for Problem 2, sony customer care confirmed this problem exist and they can't do anything with it... but this never happen in iPhone...

for Problem 3, I used to have iphone 5 connected to this Sony DVD player and after allowing the player to access my iphone phonebook for the first time when connecting, all phone contact names are shown on my DVD player screen, no problem... no extra setting needed... how come things always work in iphone so easily, even a Sony phone connecting with Sony player couldn't do it... sigh...

My first Z, that corner came off / up at too obvious a level, I sent it back to the centre, after some hoo-haa, they gave me a new replacement. The hoo-haa was because they said they wanted to repair it using "GLUE" or "Sticker", I wasn't happy coz my Z was only 3months old.

I just realise... my new Z, upper left corner, the same thing seems to be happening again... I think this has something to do with the water proof feature...

I unpair and then pair again the DVD player & my Z... then made sure I allowed the player to access my Z's phone book... seems like problem solved... but still observing...not very sure

Phone book, still the same... and whenever there is a particular entry that has this issue, I open the entry's details, then i saw the option to assign it under the category "My Contact"... all these are done on the phone, after I tick "My Contact", open the same entry to see the details, the group "My Contact" disappeared, and then this entry can not be searched... problem solved for this particular entry... but then, I have to search and do this for each & every contact entry that has problem?
