i see, well try to off all the others u configered and then just configure phone.apk and see..

so others will look small, only during call it'll look big (which i kinda find it acceptable lah )

ahaha lately alot of users prefer smaller stuff in the screen.

can get more space and can put more stuff.

you can also put the decompiling/recompiling tut a page or 2 ago to the OP if u want..

so next time users can refer for easier apk editing.

but right now having trouble decompiling phonebook apk. haih.. not sure whats wrong..
finding solution now. wanna make the contact pics large.. comparing the modded one and stock, see which value is different then i change it.. since stock is ODEX, i prefer a more stable mod

Yes, stock 4.2.2.. fully odexed rom.

The other day I deodexed it but battery drain like crazy.
Wipe and reinstall .423 again and all is well.. weird.

you got install xposed framework and app setting module right?

just played around.. find xperia keyboard and just change the DPI
i tested with stock 480. too big. (dunno why).. lol. try to set back the DPI you changed in build.prop

if u set 320, try 320 for the xperia keyboard

ahhhh.. been trying for more than an hour to find the code to change the function when you tap on the clock in pull down notification panel..

find it kinda useless that it goes to date/time setting.. rather than a most used feature = ALARM CLOCK!

cant seem to find the code in SystemUI

---- okay. cannot edit the shortcut in the clock notification panel due to odex file..

will try to deodex systemui tmr and see if i am able to edit it.

what DPI you used for the system?

try to slowly increase it.. keep editing till you got it right. no need to follow the standard android DPI amount. try setting it at 370?

no need to reboot after applying, just force close then choose the keyboard again..

so.. fixed?

i cannot edit the notification clock shortcut.
gave up for the night.

got phablet
its embedded into android 4.2.2.. any rom with 4.2.2 will have phablet if activated
i used to use my s2 in phablet mode. haha

but maybe sony modded some codes in their .423.. like dialer not working properly in a different DPI

as long as you did not unlock bootloader. no need to worry
warranty still remains (provided you gotta go back to stock before phone becomes fully unusable)

i flashed other rom but then now im back on stock.. somehow most stable + with all these mods explored..
feels like there's no need to use other ROM anymore.

like dialer now im using ex-dialer instead.. most closest to the stock sony dialer.

but i find it fair enough lah, they optmize it for a "phone" and not "phablet". haha

at least they provide a STABLE stock rom! unlike samsung. all half-half wan. thats why not many ppl use their stock rom

and not to mention slow updates (from samsung).. at least sony does it quick

5inch for me is the max screen size for a phone.. other than that its not a phone anymore (to me lah )

no bro, in the s2 community, waited till now still not 4.2.2, all leaked rom only.
samsung got the habit of not giving a care after you bought their phones.

after sales sucks (software-based)..
they only give 1 or 2 updates to the phones you bought. after that they focus on their new "flagship" phones liao..

1 of the reason why i moved away from samsung..
