Updated

Latest 4.2.2 10.3.1.A.0.244 fw for xperia zl (after few hours usage)

1. Social life apps updated.. Good and much friendly UI. More useful compare to previous..

2. Home launcher doesn't lag anymore.. Which is good thing.

3. Album zoom photo no more lag.. But album and Walkman apps didnt update like the leaks version.

4. Overall performance improved..

Battery life have to wait and test for next few days.. But at least didnt notice quick drain right now.. Thanks sony for fast update recently.. Not bad.. Expecting for android 4.3 and 5.0 future..

Edit: there is more heat noticed.

I didn't see much difference with the latest .244 update for ZL except for the Album which doesn't lag anymore. Also able to adjust voice quality during phone calls.

Anyone else discovered any new cool stuff with the new firmware ?
*
Lockscreen widget added one.. Trackid widget..
Socialife apps updated.. New UI.
Performance does improved.. Temporary no significant laggy happened in my zl.

Wonder got high resolution image while recording? Didnt found it..

QUOTE(zarchrykl @ Aug 1 2013, 09:36 AM)
agreed with u.. smoothness, but weird before updating my battery level 49 after updating boom up to 75+.. haha..
*
This is common issue after upgrade new firmware.. Do battery calibration if u are root by apps. If non root, charge ur phone to 100%, use it until auto shut down. Rest the phone for 20minutes for cool down. Then charge it till 100%.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Aug 1 2013, 11:03 PM)
Actually I noticed my battery didn't last as long as 4.2.1. The latest 244 update was even worse. Not sure because of the firmware or my apps went wild but batterystats was fine
*
QUOTE(mengsuan @ Aug 1 2013, 11:36 PM)
Actually I never use the phone with that much SOT. But generally speaking, moderate usage, with 4.1.2, I go home with 60% power. With first 4.2.2, I go home 30-40% everyday. Since the 244 update yesterday, yesterday i came home with 1% remaining, today 20%.
*
do battery calibration.. ytd update, battery reading bug.. then i force it charge till 100%, and then drain the battery till 0% directly by open 3D gaming, movie for total 4 hours like that.. then let the phone relax for half hour and cool down..

recharge it in shut down mode till green light and just let it charge till next morning..

used till now total 16h 42m+, SOT 1m 50m, 3G, Wifi, GPS, Auto-Sync turned on always, disable screen auto brightness. my battery still left 34%.. which i think very average.. for 18 hours i think can get 3 hours SOT. very average for daily usage..

above is my setting.. hope my guide can help..

my sot since I used monx Rom is exactly 4hrs. that is dem impressive compared to previous Rom I used existenz v4, barely hit 3hrs sot.
*
SOT is different depend on the usage.. hardly to determine it.. for my own personal experience.. 3 hours SOT is average for 1 day from morning to night.. if phone below 3 hours then is poor battery life, smtg wrong there.. if above 3 hours up to5 hours, its consider good - very good battery life..

4.2.2 battery life from my Xperia zl

This is opened or turned on data, GPS, auto sync, manual brightness 25% all the time on testing. No stamina mode on

Mostly screen turned on to LINE and whatsapp and Facebook. Plus some surfing with dolphin.

Hope it's a guide for battery life in .244fw. Personal feedback is not bad. If turned off auto sync must be able to extend at least half hour.

Using wifi ya.. U can get that sot.. If only data, I think hardly get 4 hours at all.. But I confirmed sony of course done the well job..

Screen flickering actually not so serious ady. Sometimes saw a little bit.. Hardly to notice it ady compare with last fw.
