you can underclock it? you using stock ROM or custom ROM?
*
i already root my XZL, but still in locked bootloader..
now using stock ROM, with latest firmware..

i try set the max CPU frequency of 1.0GHz & monitor it using other widget..
so far my CPU does not exceed 1.0GHz..i guess i succesfully underclock it? tongue.gif

the stock ROM not good enough? I have been rooting and constantly change my OS in my samsung galaxy S3 and somehow doesn't fulfill my needs. I think Sony has one of the best if not the best user interface out there now.
*
eh, i'm not changing my ROM..i just underclock it, in order to reduce the temperature..
i used my XZL mainly to surf internet, a lot..thus the temperature rises up until 52 degree celcius..
kindda worried if my XZL is overheated.. sweat.gif

Yes. It will reduce some heat and increase battery life. For daily usage I think it's ok. Not recommend for gaming ppl.
*
ok, thats great..i rarely play game on my XZL, i mean extremely rare..haha tongue.gif

for surfing and normal facebook, social messaging only.. actually 1.0ghz confirmed enough ady.. quad-core is a waste actually.. coz normal phone will used up 2 core where the another 2 are inactive..

u may search in playstore, CPU Tweaker. this can enable 4 core running together, underclocked it and other features..
*
yes, i mainly use my XZL for listening to mp3 & watching HD video (not streaming), texting, surfing, facebooking, social messaging (whatsapp & wechat)..
my XZL tends to get hot (above 45degree) when i'm on facebook and use GPS (papago & waze)..

yea.. that's of course.. i never underclock in my xperia ZL.

but i do a lot of flashing rom, kernel before in previous xperia. so i understand it.. underclock to certain level its does help on battery life without affect performance much. example, xperia arc and neo. both can clock at 1.4ghz, but SE clocked them at 1ghz.
*
main reason i underclock my XZL only to reduce temperature tongue.gif

use a flip case then u wont feel the temperature anymore.. LOL
*
i'm using flip case, Mofi brand..but that is not what concern me..
i'm worried if my phone get overheated..
since i'm not using my XZL for game, i underclock it to reduce temperature..
so far, no sign or reduce in performance..

thanks! bro r u using zl? is the ram2gb enough for ZL? the reason why i dont choose samsung phone due to their firmware consumed large ram, ram for user very less and cause my note lag
*
2GB ram on XZ/XZL sure enough for daily usage..for gaming purpose i think it's sufficient enough too..Samsung phone, especially newer Galaxy model loaded with lots of bloatware which consumed large ram..removing those unwanted/unused bloatware will significantly improved phone speed..same goes to beloved XZ & XZL smile.gif

I do agreed with u bro on Samsung Galaxy Series but as for Sony, they did minimize the Bloatware for their device from 2012 devices.
*
yes! Sony did awesome job on minimizing bloatware for their newer Xperia lineup (especially).. thumbup.gif
