lucifah,
Did you work in S'pore before?
I'm thinking from the point of Pachasing Parity Index.
e.g. if I want to buy a plasma TV, it will cost me 1-2 months salart here. Over there, it is only 0.5-1month.
And talk about car, recent rise in petrol really take out allot of my expenses.
------------------M'sia----------------------S'pore
Toyota VIOS---RM90k--------------------S$75k + COE
Broadband-----RM88(1M)-----------------S$43(1.5M)
Meal(Hawker)--RM5-----------------------S$5
Room Rental---RM350 (KL)---------------S$500
Looks like cost of living in S'pore isn't really that high afterall. Above is just information I collected. Perhaps I've overlooked something important that I need to consider?
living in singapore is not that expensive. but just remember, buying property or owning a car in singapore is quite high. not to mention that most roads have their own toll.
and do bear in mind, broadband in singapore means no p2p, no piracy and no kiddie porns. the police will knock on your door even when u just trasnferred a 500mb+ file on msn - yes, it's true.
no, i never worked in singapore, but my uncle stayed there for donkye years oledi - has pr status. nice place though. a very different and modern place from it neigbhor - malaysia
