Hmm, I would consider going to Singapore for a fresh start. I'm sure you get to experience a different working environment and there would be loads of things to learn.

About salary wise, depends on the life style you want though however, I have seen someone working with $2000 survive in Singapore, so I don't think its any big deal, depends whether you want to live frugally or not.

Well, in short I would really suggest you to go ahead and looking at the current state of Malaysia, I would say go ahead
