unfortunately selayang has no lrt, mrt, or ktm within walking distance. The nearest is ktm batu caves which is 5km away. The last mrt line 2 planning Selayang-Putrajaya line is scrapped and will begin in Sg Buloh-Putrajaya instead. As someone living in Selayang for the past 20 years. I can pretty much say Selayang will not see any trains for the next 50 years. There is a proposed line connecting selayang to MRT line 2, but details are quite sketchy as of now and there's a high chance it will not take off. Buses? Even during off peak+- waiting time it will take you roughly about 2 hours just to get to kl Here's the mrt line 2 map if you want to get the idea of the future planning, current status is "cadangan"
