I bought this camera too. So far, with my limited skills and knowledge in photography, it doesn't disappoint me
Sometimes, there are things which bug me, like when it fails to focus, but it is mainly because I'm still learning and exploring it.
The camera itself is a great buy for me, worth the money and will consider getting better lens and flash in the future.
It comes bundled with Adobe Lightroom 4. How I love that software spending my free times creating presets

I just buy extra batteries and I'm good to go, even without EVF

Nope, didn't get it Bought it in May. At that time, I can't find anyone selling it with extra battery and external charger. Total kena for camera with card RM2295. Then bought third party battery + charger from Ebay.

I tried to download the firmware but speed is damn slow. Have you upgraded yours?
