how much to replace a crack glass ? thanks
*
Depends on your model. But Orient's adtime pandan office is pretty responsive in giving you price quotes. They just takes time if u decide to repair it with them. So buy from them and go do it elsewhere. Just for a guide, mako XL glass was quoted for rm85 to me. Just the glass alone not yet include labour

Was looking for a dress watch for daily work, as in financial line, any comment which one more suitable? Many thanks!
*
2nd from right if u service clients usually. Clean white face. Neutral and doesnt boast.

Unless if you're in sales. Then orient dress is not what u want. U want something big and boastful.

Any suggestion for straps for orient bambino? Below rm100. XD
*
if you want cheap, the only way to go is aliexpress/ebay from china sellers. fake leather straps.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Nexuiz-Watc...2235244796.html

should've taken off the original strap and keep, then wear a chaep replacement strap and trash it without care.

alternatively you can always contact AD to buy an ori strap. dunno the price though.

Got the natos. Stock strap already torn.

Don't think you can just open up the crystal.

Need to dismantle via case back, take out movement and stick back the logo and reassemble.

its Mako USA available here ? compare to Seiko SKX007 which would you guys choose ?
*
Mako USA is, as the name suggests, made for USA market only. if there are, it is through grey or private. definitely not official.
i did consider buying one from ebay before. but eventually i settled for SKX009

Hi, I am looking to buy my first automatic movement. I have narrowed down to Seiko or Orient movement. May I know how is the durability and serviceability of Orient movement?

Thank you.
*
Wont go wrong with either one, both are good.

Just buy whichever one that catches your eyes.

Just FYI, Orient is owned by Seiko Corp but Seiko allows it to act mostly independently.

my blue ray detected ran slower more than 5 min in just one week.
may I know what to do? how much cost to service the watch?
*
a simple regulation would cost no more than rm50. a full service probably about 120-150.

I see. Noted with thanks! so basically any price below the online prices is worth getting?
*
online seller can offer you cheap price because :
1. no shop overheads
2. cut cost by selling u watch only. no box, no warranty card.
3. give you non-original bracelet/strap or replace the more expensive bracelet and give you rubber/silicon/nylon alternative

so if u dont mind about box and warranty card, just want the watch only, then yeah worth getting.

Everdying is right.

Unless u OCD like my friend, watch already accurate down to 15s +/- a day and he still insisted to regulate until he gets +2s a day.

I set my watches 5 minutes faster based on the time on my desktop. Then every night I compare it with the time on my desktop and there IS an increase, both the Tissot and the Ray II. But the increase of time on the Ray II is more significant. These are my watches so of course I know when they are running fast/slow.
*
i usually check my time against this :

http://mst.sirim.my/

as long as my watch doesnt deviate more that 1-2 minutes, i am good.

as ckweng stated.

however if it still stops at midnight after wearing it whole day, then get it checke and serviced. possibly the rotor is not winding or the mainspring is jammed resulting in insufficient power reserve

It's not hand-windable so that's the problem. She worn it everyday from 9am-7pm yet the watch still stopped at around 1-2am so maybe I'll ask her to shake her hand more.  doh.gif
She just bought it for 3 weeks ago and from day 2 onward she has been setting the time every morning and it's getting on her nerve. Will get it check this weekend. Is it better to get the watch back to the outlet which my mother bought or to Orient service centre?  hmm.gif
*
if the outlet is an Orient authorised agent or have a repairman, then go back to the store. if it is neither then go orient direct. their service centre in in Shamelin Perkasa ceras. AD Time.
