a few thought of the Orient Capital,

what i like about the watch, very thin case, beautiful dome crystal & sunburst dial;

what i don't like about the watch, too light (feels a bit cheap), leather strap quality so so (but at least quite comfort), movement has very loud ticking sound
*
Enjoy your new watch brother! biggrin.gif
There are many suitable leather straps available. Start trying different straps!

Hi, anyone knows about this "new Mako" or not? with hand wound and hacks, and without the extra day pusher!!

Orient FAA02001B

http://www.seriouswatches.com/orient/orien...2001b-5035.html

The Orient FAA02001B is the upgrade of the renown Orient Mako and Ray models. This gorgeous, reliable dive watch with an in-house Orient automatic movement differs from the previous iterations with a new movement (which can be hand wound and hacks) and a new cast. With the Mako and Ray models you had a separate button to set the day, with this watch it's simply operated with the crown. Also the lines of the watch have become a bit stronger.

The FAA02001B is a stylish watch that will be suitable for nearly any outfit and nearly every occasion. You can wear the watch during swimming (although it's not suited for air diving), but it will also look great with a suit or casual wear. It's a true all-rounder with a great design, great quality and a true mechanical in-house movement.

SeriousWatches is an authorised dealer of Orient watches. This watch comes with 2 year warranty, the beautiful Orient box, the manual and the warranty booklet. Worldwide shipping is included.

QUOTE(Everdying @ Jan 20 2016, 03:29 PM)
imo the main attraction of bambino is its a nice dress watch for usd100.
a new movement may drive its price up to usd200...then gg orient.
what orient should do is keep same old movement but make a no-date version at same price ... then dw can go fly kites already.
*
Nope.
Coz Orient dun hav a cool name like DW. tongue.gif

i think retail price is around rm800? or increase alot already?
i remember buying few yrs ago rm400+ after discount.
*
Eh, RM800 after discount is for Raven.
Maybe RM600-700 for the Ray/Mako.
I saw the price at a mall.
I don't think can get RM400+ anymore.

QUOTE(Baconateer @ Mar 18 2016, 12:41 PM)
thn..whr can i get one...KL area? any recommended shops?
*
A bit hard to find nowadays I think.
I've seen one shop in Alamanda selling it, also in Sunway Pyramid.
There's a big Orient shop in Sungei Wang, but dunno they have or not.
There's also some shops in Pertama selling Orients.

You can always buy online. It's cheaper.

It is possible for the RRP of orient star open heart  to be lower than orient star classic?

I was quoted, prices after discount from solar time midvalley

Open heart with metal bracelet = rm1350
Orient star classic (blue dial+blue leather strap) = around rm1700
*
Why do you ask whether it is possible when you already got the quotation? sweat.gif
