this week i got 2 candidates applying for job with my company, and they both worked with symphony. reason for leaving: product they are marketing not marketable anymore, thus target = very hard.

i think if u really wan to work in telemarketing line, consider:
1- the product. can market or not
2- the target. realistic or not?
3- the people. tolerable or not.

sometimes, i do notice that people quit because they just can't take rejection. has nothing to do with the workplace.

Anyway i will post something up tomorow about the interview,

PS: the salary they offer are 1500, 5 days work PLUS certain saturday have to work, overtime paid and commission too

I''m wrking there right. It's not hard to achieve your target as long as your mind set is strong enough and stay positive always.
For basic now if u're all new without any wrking experience and no degree/ diploma is rm1400. if u have wrking experience, it might be diff then.
it's a good job as start of ur career. bcz u can grow bcome stronger there. all colleagues as well as team leaders and project managers are all nice. they'll help u whenever u're in needs. it's my personal experience for these 2 months. I was totally a newbie without any wrking / part time experience. it's a great place to wrk for me.

depend on your project and team leader... if your project is sucks then u would be extremely stress....

however, my previous experience in this company told me to advise you NOT to work in there.....
if you take telesales as your future you can go and try...

There is stress everywhere, the difference is just that will it snowball and flatten you.

It sound like this is something that do a lot of phone calls and talking, remember that the target could be like 200 phone calls per day, if you do not plan to hate phone or talking, this is not the job for you.

IT support no stress? Since when you heard of any support job no stress? Customer have stress only look for you, how come no stress?

teledirect telecommerce is a very good company for a freshy who looking for a sales position. People there are very friendly and they provide a very useful training. There are no job is without stress right?? Stress can make a person grow. Team leader won't give a new guy any stress, unless u just sit there and doing nothing. Mindset and stay positive is very important for this job, if u can control your mindset very well, then u can earn the commission very well too. Don't worry, every team leader is very professional, they will help you all the time.

I recently have an offer from this company, but located in Singapore. Basic salary is like SGD 2000, however I didn't accept the offer. I think I'm not suitable in telemarketing maybe, it's quite suffer for me to make 200 calls (target) per day. rclxub.gif

SGD2000 is nothing in Spore.
Furthermore, it is about the 3 points mentioned by a forummer above.
Personally I find making cold calls to a prospects that will usually 8.5 out of 10 (my estimation) likely to reject your products outright as they believe insurance products required a human touch is not workable, especially in Malaysia.

Prolly the reason why they moved (or downsized) from Selangor Dredging to Wisma Central.

this company is not bad if you like telemarketing. you would be require to make about 100 calls per day. rejection from customers is normal because not all customer will buy your product, this is normal in every sales job. but when you have no sales it will be stressful a bit and also your team leader will pressure you but that is normal in a call centre environment. for those who like challenge to make sales can go for this job. if you can make sales, you will get commission also. only people who hate to make sales will see this job as terrible job.
some people can survive there for few years. it depends on individual.

this is the worst company that i've ever worked with. it's a pure telemarketing company with the highest turnover rate that i've ever seen. they are really good in fooling the fresh grad to join them with low salary and promise them high commission but it's not the case after you join them. Notice period is 3 freaking months long. for those who are still working there, i say good luck ya..

I just quit from that company. You sure notice that company has high turn over rate. Telemarketing is not a carrier is a job. If u want a job u have it but if u want to build u carrier that not a place to start with.

I used to work for this company in 2008 before I graduate, just to kill some time. Honestly, it is a typical Chinaman company. I was working as a telesales executive for a Citibank-ING project in Wisma Selangor Dredging. There was this team leader by the name of Bernie and she was quite friendly and understanding . Then, another team leader joined the project by the name of Phoebe, but she was a real b*tch. Every time when we don't make any sales, she will lecture us like an old woman and she will scream like a lioness. Sometimes, the underachievers will be taken to an "interrogation room" to meet the project manager by the name of Derrick. He will insult you for not making sales. Every Saturday we have to work half day even though in the offer letter I have to work only on alternate Saturdays. I am glad I am no longer working for this crappy company. Their computer system also sucks big time(they were using old Dell Optiplex computers). So, please avoid this company at all costs unless you are really, really desperate.

I have worked in Teledirect Commerce during my colledge years (semester break 3 months)- which is in 2009. It is true that there are a few divisions which does better then the others.

It is a tedious job just sitting down and calling 100 over customers a day but it did pay out for me then. There are a few people and myself who got an average of near 10k a month then.

HOWEVER it is really stressful if you do not perform!
