hi,

i am using my pc over a year, and here's my spec

AMD64 2800+ 754
abit kv8pro
2x512MB Corsair VS DDR400
1xSATA 40GB HDD
Galaxy 6600GT 128MB AGP
Pioneer DVD-Rom
SB Audigy
2x12CM fans
Tt Purepower 460W

everything is at stock values (no OC)

well, everything is fine until recently i experienced a locked up that i finally have to reformat my pc..it is nearly after a year i used my pc. even clearing cmos wont do. the trick i used now, is turn off the psu and let it be..maybe a half an hour while hoping i can boot the pc.

i really want to know (OP staff...i hope you can share your piece of mind here) what is the problematic component that had been causing these kind of problems.

i hope you guys (everyone welcomed) can help me a bit..it is already causing me headaches.

you mean...if the system wont boot, try removing one of the sticks and boot? if it works then put the stick back again...and boot normally?
