Internship in Malaysia, how it works?

I want to do an internship in Malaysia but I am not Malay. Legal job in Malaysia requires certain visa with a work permit.
If I do an internship do I need to be employed? Have anyone done an internship and want to share her/his experience  I need to know if there is any chance to get a work experience (and get a document confirming that fact from the company) without being employed? (and would it be still legal?) THX |

Basically from my experience. you need to contact the company youwish to work. and they will provide al the information for you, i once did my on job training at eurocopter malaysia and there many internship from around the world. so i think you find the company first, after that all just matter of paperwork.

What is your nationality? I believe that for different nationality there are different restrictions in terms of work. But if you are still a student and thus wanting to apply for an internship these legalities are a little more laxed.
