Hi,
I'm looking to move a piano to an apartment and also for piano tuning. The apartment is located at 3rd floor and have to walk by stairs. The hallway and door is narrow so the piano has to be upright to move in.
Can someone recommend cheap and reliable company contacts to move piano? You can post here or PM me the contacts.
Thanks!

They count by floor. Each floor is extra labour cost. be prepared to pay hundreds and hundreds for labour alone. It cost RM600 to move a piano to 4th floor 10 years ago. I dont know how much now.
If you have never even lifted a piano up...you wont know how torturing it is to move it up 3 stories....even for 6 big strong men.

Moving is rm150-200 (depending on location). One floor is additional rm100. So ur case is 3 floors x rm100 = rm300 + rm150 or rm200. Meaning rm450 or rm500 excluding tuning. Tuning is about rm100.
I have contacts for professional piano mover. Let me know if u need the contact.
I moved my piano from Melaka to kl and up 3 floors. The staircase is narrow and I see them carrying the piano on their shoulders. Very impressive and professional.

Rao94 - Thanks! I'll keep that in mind.
empire, hey_there - I actually contacted one mover and was surprised to find out that for each floor they charge RM100 extra and to move the piano in a vertical position (because the alley and door are narrow), they charge another RM50. Now I see that these rates seem to be quite typical.
hey_there, do PM the contacts. Thanks!
