Ya, I'm a sucker for collectible card games. If you look around a bit, you'd have noticed I shared quite a few card games here: Fantasica, Tekken Card Tournament, DarkLord Legends, etc...

Anyway, here's a very new one -- really new... like launched in the last one week or so... Elves Realm!


Like the other card games out there, buy buy packs, form a deck (team), battle in out in quests (PvE). You can also test out your deck by battling other players (PvP).

Art-wise, it's decent though its kinda hard to see the card details on the phones. I've yet to discover how to display the cards in full screen... Maybe that's in the album function.

The game is quite easy to pick up. It's colourful and most importantly, you dun feel the compelling need to spend real money to play this (disclaimer: i've just started for about 24 hours and only L11. Maybe I've yet to fully explore everything). You get energy replenished at the rate of 1 per 10 minutes. So far, quests, etc requires 2 energy and you can store up to 50 energy at any one time. yes, that means you dun need to login every 1 hour or so... you can let it accumulate and login about once every 10 hours or so. But yes, you can spend money if you want to.

In one of the PvP options, there's a format that is similar to sealed deck (in trading card games terminology). Cards for the event is provided by the game (you can't use your own). you then have a bit of time to create your deck... And then let it roll. So, this is quite a fair tournament. There are of course those that uses your own cards...

Card packs... So far, you have 3 options to purchase card packs:
* 10,000 Gold: This gets you a pack of 5 cards that consists of anything from 1-star to 5-star cards. You can easily get gold from winning matches and quests. Gold is also used to enhance your cards.
* 150 Crystals: Crystals. Harder to find in the game (dunno if you can actually get them other than the first day tutorial). This gets you a pack of 5 cards that consists of anything from 2-star to 5-star cards. You can use Crystals to charge your enerry or reset the countdown timer.
* Magic coupons: This gets you 1 card that can range from 3-star to 5-star.

Note: I contacted the dev as I was not able to download this on my Android yesterday. Error message was "Not available for the country (Malaysia). Developer replied and said that it should be available -- so, if it's not working in Google Play yet, give it 1-2 more days. What I did to get the game was: Go to their website (see link above) and clicked Android which let me download the APK file. So, just install as 3rd party apps.

What I like about this game: It's simple. It does not 'force' you to use real money. You dun need to login every 1 hour. Based on my own plans, I should be able to login like 3 times a day and do just fine... Sadly, I can say the same about the few other card games I tried and shared much earlier like Tekken and Fantasica.

personally, i found it better than Shadow Era. maybe coz i'm not really into those flicking thingy.

as shared earlier... this game is actually the same as Lies of Azeroth. but LoA is not in this ASIA market and only available for iOS whereas Elves Realm is available for both iOS and Android. you can say this one is localised for our region. so far, the developers are quite active and responsive on FB, which is good. lots of activities too...

ouch... my bad. i think i may have gotten some of these games mixed up... i thought this is the one where you flick a fireball into enemies...

quite sure i played Shadow Era before, but just can't recall right now how it plays and feel.

anyway, what i'm really waiting for in terms of TCG is HEX: Shards of Fate. it's a kickstarter project and they hit the stretch goals for ios/ android tablet support. i expect this to be as big a hit as MTG for real cards...

actual game probably out only early next year (2014).

but KickStarter backers will have access to Alpha and Beta which is expected to be sometime in August/ Sept 2013.

There seems to have some secret place to collect al the stars and unlock the hidden level on the maze? Do you know how?

Emm...I tried this game for almost 3 hours, found that the playing method is too repetitive and no strategies to be applied at all...each battles I just press auto / pass as it totally needed no strategies at all. After some times it gets boring... hoping for a better TCG games...

just explore all maze and you get card from all treasure monster .

since this games got no strategies and technic since it was auto battle .

but some how stil a easy card games for just collection card and upgrade card level .

but one point are games are lagging when lot AOE skill casting together ..

only using a little bit signal of DATA , even your signal was " G " it still working , this is the point i was playing coz better then chaos & duel card (need high speed for playing this games)

actually, i have to say that this game is actually more challenging and requires more tactics than other games. earlier levels... yes, very easy to just use AUTO.

try it when you reach Map 6 or Map 7... it will be kinda difficult unless you get good cards. same thing when you reach about L35+ and try to do PvP... AUTO may not work all the time.

there are some secret locations... to unlock those tower in the map, you need to achieve 3 * for some of the towers/ locations... easiest is just to 3* all the maps... then surely it will be unlocked.

I agreed. everything change when we reach Map 6 onwards. we need to carefully pick the required card for diff opponents, check the battle reports, pair the card with suitable rune and control the card (order - which to pass or attack). Things really hard when I reach Map 8

ya, i'm stuck at 8-4... a few of my friends have managed to reach 8-8 or something...

honestly, so far, this game is still 'new' and the developers are giving lots of freebies and tournaments... allowing free players to earn some nice stuffs. for me... i liked the game and paid usd0.99 for some crystals. they had some promo at that time and i managed to get a 4* card from that purchase.

one of the 'better' events is the Tournament using Gold and Crystal. my friends and i find this to be value for money. you can sometimes break even in this event and earn a free card (participation reward). its sort of a 'sealed deck'. you use the cards provided to you at random... and then see how it goes.

The best digital card game is Magic the Gathering, $9.90 only
