Insatlling cabin air filter ...

I have a QUESTION - is the air filter inserted the WRONG way? it is the ONLY way to push in because the 2 nut holes need to be aligned. OR, do i need to invert the WHITE filter inside the bracket ? WHICH WAY for the WHITE filter to go in (i have seen some google images that the front side of the bracket should go in upwards, and not like mine here where the backside went in upwards) ? Please advise me. Thanks

coincidentally I'm having the same issue. Are you referring to the one which looks like an Aladdin lamp? The light is flashing when I'm stationary, start engine and when braking. My car is old ... almost 10 years ... sigh

After months searching for the O2 sensor but can't find it, I decided to send in the SC instead. Well, done the scan by the scanner and found no error at all!! I was quite surprised it wasn't the O2 sensor who cause the increasing FC and jerking. Well, since I was there and the problem still exist, I asked to clean the throttle body instead. After removed the throttle body, the technician found one of the grounding wire of the engine wire broken!! I mean there are like 4 to 6 of ground wires and only one of them broken. He confirmed that this is the culprit for the problem...reconnect the grounding wire and pop!! problem solved...now i'm getting back my good FC, no more engine light on and jerking.

FYI, before fix it, I could only go 250km for RM50 petrol....now I could go up to 400km. rclxm9.gif

So guys, you might wanna send your car to SC first if you have serious problem. I did went to outside foremans...some said O2 sensor, some said relay problem, some even said mounting problem( rclxub.gif )

Hi,

Im planning to change my rims(old one got dents). Thinking of getting the standard myvi rims. Do you think it would cause any problems if i do?
Planning to get 175 65 r14 based tyres.
*
myvi rims are not recommended as it's quite heavy for a kelisa. your wheel bearings might suffer. try myvi SE rims instead. it's lighter smile.gif

oh, that is very good! worth the $$ la.

1) how about when idling - free gear and gear engaged. feel any vibration, especially when there is D gear and you apply the brake?

2) can hear any 'humming' sound (like omm, omm, omm) from the engine bay while idling and driving?

3) steering wheel - how is the vibration now?

thinking of changing the mount too.

thanks again.

1) now not more vibration, maybe got a litter due to the rpm too low.

hi,

i wish to introduce a workshop that i have been going for the past few months, had done a significant jobs over there and i must say the costs were very reasonable and lower than most workshops ive been so far

the advantages that i have found on this workshop:

home operated - very flexible timing, night also can send and pickup, and also the reason for the fairly low price overall, no rental to be worried about

the place is well equipped with necessary tools despite doing at home

he does mainly perodua cars namely kelisa and kancil, so the guy has vast experience. he does all from normal maintenance, engine swap to spot welding

call him for appointment, raymee 012 314 1846

location is in kampung laksamana, batu caves, selangor. call him for exact location

try out his service, hope this benefits

bo megat.
my car interior used to have a 'paint' smell, quite strong. now no more already.
the filter is cheap, very worth the mod. seller is here at lyn - JEENT - https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2346941&hl=

actually its very easy to install. NO NEED to take off the glove box !!! u just kneel below the glove box, then can see the sealed box. but need a sharp knife to cut open only.
make sure buy the filter WITH BRACKET cos first time instal need the bracket.

can do all same time ma. my aircon actually is cold, can pakai even in afternoon, as after travelling for fwe minutes the air is QUITE cold (not as cool as proton) and comfortable.

we all shd add in this filter.

Just changed my EO to 5/30 ENEOS. Fark...easily touch 160 in a jiffy...but then whole car rattles after 150 so I slowed down...FC shows not much difference...a bit on the high side but by like 10km difference.

For sure my engine sounds smoother. So will update u guys further. Btw...any recommended shops to change my bonnet in PJ? =(
